Time for an update. After issuing my LBA i received a reply from them roughly 10 working days later apologizing for my inconvenience and saying that it appears as though my claim was sent after 120 days of connection and within 30 days of 'expiry'. They also said if i could fax a copy of the bill to them so they can look into it.

What should i do? The bill was for November and to get new bills from o2 its an automated line that just gives you the current one and the previous one and the November bill was obviously a little further back. Do you think asking for the bill is an admission of incompetence and could work to my advantage or are these just delay tactics.

A few days ago i received another letter after i had wrote to them that i wasn't going to send them the bill as i had sent it and if they had lost it was their fault.

I issued the proceedings on money claim anyway. I did receive a letter from them on the day i issued proceedings so obviously they didn't know when they wrote the letter, anyway it said that the month 4 cashback was missed even though in the previous letter she said it had been received in time and she also said my month 6 bill had been sent in time, which was due in about a month after my LBA. They say they will pay both month as goodwill if i send in both months airtime bills.

How ridiculous they are trying everything to put me off and keep spinning their lies and poorly written letters changing things each time!

I have issued the claim anyway but i didn't put in any interest or costs (i can edit this) should i put these in and if so how much roughly?
  • Dont know if I'm posting in the right place as I havent encountered a problem but would like some reassurance

I purchased a price match deal on 3rd December 07. when it gets round to time to claim I want to make sure everythings in order after hearing everyone elses problems

According to the website in my account it says send month 4 claim between 1st april and 1st may - my bills are dated the 4th of each month so am I correct in assuming I should send the bill dated 4th april?

then month 6 between 31st may and 30 jun so would this be bill dated 4th jun?

Some people have said that the information it gives you is 1 month out, please advise as to when I should claim dont want to lose out

    Thanks in advance

Not always. Yours is correct. Make sure you follow the rest though (original bills etc to the correct address, recorded delivery etc. etc...)!

I sent in my claim on the 17/1/08 and have not received anything not even a confirmation text message so will have to ring them tomorrow to see whats happening.

This is the first time I am having problems with them the last few years they have been great.

Why do people wait so long before doing something? Very strange! If you know they received it the path is clear. If you don't then you have made a huge error.

it states on their website that you have to wait 30 days after you sent the bill in before contacting them .
I've sent 3 bills in so far and they have all been ok the first cheque was a bit slow so i wil wait until the 30 days is up if thats ok with you.

fayraz has waited far longer than 30 days. Apart from that I stopped taking any notice of whatever they may say on their website months ago, since most of it is rubbish at best and intentionally misleading at worst. I prefer the t&c I actually signed up to and will enforce them without hesitation if needbe. Of course, others may give them leeway if they wish!
