• I am thinking of signing up to a cash back deal with e2save. Looking at their website the answers to cash back queries are spread across 35 pages. If I order a phone from them do they send a copy of the current terms and conditions with the phone or do I have to print out all 35 pages to preserve a record (to cover myself against any future changes to the terms and conditions which can be posted on the web site).

Many Thanks

Hi, Yes they do send out their terms plus they have a website where you can key in your order number at any time during the contract period to be reminded of the terms applicable to your deal

This is true.... but in my case (and has been mentioned by others) the summary screen of the dates you need to send the claim in does NOT match the T&Cs. The summary screen would have me sending in the claim 1 month too early.

I took a price match deal with e2save/osps last July. I sent my first claims in last Nov and got their cheque paid out OK.

However, I posted my second claim via SPECIAL DELIVERY in Jan 2008 which is 6 months after my connection and haven't got my money so far.
Last week I sent them an email to ask why they said they didn't receive my claim and asked for my proof of delivery. Therefore I also emailed them their signature on the royal mail website and my special delivery invoice. It has been five working days I haven't got a single reply from them. I also tried to phone their CS department but everytime I was cut off. Should I issue an LBA to them? When and How?

I have had quite a number of cashbacks from e2s over the years and always got my money. However things now seem to be going 'pear shaped' in a big way. It seems that they are now not collecting post from their PO Box (see my post above), not answering e-mails and not answering the telephone. I have a legitimate outstanding claim and can't make any headway with them.
Unfortunately I am starting to agree with the view that cashbacks should be outlawed. They seem to be causing just too many problems and are not a viable business model, not even for 'big boys' like CPW.

Hi all,

I've noticed a few posts on here that mention E2save are not answering their calls and I've just tried to chase up two of my cheques, with the calls also being cut off.

Are they on the way down the pan? They owe me hundreds!

Have just called their sales line and they told me customer services can only take 40 calls at a time so told me to email - here's the address in case anyone needs it! info@mycashbackclaims.co.uk

Just an update, this afternoon I got an email from their customer relation team a few hours after I informed them that I am going to take legal action. Again, they asked me a copy of my bills sent. As it is the first time they refused to issue my claim and i am 100% sure that I sent the right bills, I sent them the scanning of my bills. However, I also reminded them that I don't have to keep and provide them any documents after they were sent to the corrrect address and got signed for, and my deadline for taking legal action remains. Let's see how it goes!

I got told the same. Apparently should be ok next week as they are changing phone lines.
I got through after trying for ages. The overdue cheque is being done for me apparently.
O2 bloke told me that they only intend to pay 40% of the cashback for customers. Which at the moment sounds about right.
• kevinyork; THAT is REALLY bad advice! Ignore the "information" they send with the phone or note it at your peril people. Any information on the online account (as has repeatedly been established) can be absolutely WRONG. Now even the addresses and telephone numbers are confused and/or not working. I repeat (yet again) do NOT touch one of these deals with a barge pole unless you really know what you're doing AND follow ALL the groundrules. I reckon only about 1% do and many end up with big problems as a result.
