Stayed up late last night and finished The Cornish Coast Murder by John Bude

It is a forerunner of Agatha Christie Miss Marple Style set in the 1930's. It was very pleasant and well written, although I wouldn't say enthralling ! :T:T:T out of five

Was a library book, so can't say it decreases the ones I owned unread :rotfl:

I finished book 1 also, Eddie Izzard's "Dress to Kill". An easy read. Back to the really small print of the "Ya-Yas" ;)

Just finished my second book of the year. Only time will tell by Jeffrey Archer. Fabulous book, great story, easy to read. Rated 5/5. Can't wait to start the next book in the series.

  • I really need to join this!
I have cut down hundreds - and i mean hundreds in the past few years. I have also donated and given away boxes upon boxes of books.
I sort of started buying books again a while before christmas and have only read part of a few - my problem is i never ever dont finish a story, i may put it on pause for a while but i will go back to it. But what im noticing is the quality of writing is deterriorating and is really annoying when thier is a great idea for a story ruined by shoddy writting. I know this is a cheek coming from me, who is dyslexic, and couldnt write a short story if her life depended on it, but it doenst mean to say we have to put up with this from 'professional' writers.
    anyways, rant over lol.

i have one book that i am on the look out for in the local charity shops and that is the only book i am going to allow myself to buy until i have read, finished reading or give away the books i currently have until i have a collection that i am happy to read again and keep on my book shelf.
My aim is to get all books out of my house by end of 2015 that i am not content to keep forever.
