Finished 'Hunger' by Michael Grant today. About to start a book my mum lent me 'The Miniaturist' by Jessie Burton, it's had some great reviews so looking forward to it.

At the moment I am reading about one book a month. Target for 2015 is to read 15 books this year. Also to finish the books with less than I started with.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Happy New Year everyone! I missed my target for 2014 but have made a resolution in 2015 to make more time for reading, as I find it such a simple and relaxing pleasure. I was gifted five books for Christmas, all of which I'm very excited to start reading, and my birthday is next month (hoping for several more then!). The pile is gradually going down. I'm aiming to read 26 books this year, which I think is doable for me.

Have just counted - I have 60 books plus 12 of my husbands to read. At 15 books a year it will take me nearly 5 years to read.

I finished The Book Thief about midnight last night, sobbing away. Brilliant book! I immediately started a more light hearted novel The Kashmir Shawl by Rosie Thomas, to calm me down a bit.Now Mrs FrugalinShropshire:T Proud to be mortgage and debt free:j0

Hi all
Not been on for ages but managed to read three books this holiday. I will set my target at 12 this year as I have lots of craft stuff I want to do this year and also a lot to do in the graden in summer, so 12 should hopefully be achieveable.0 -
Finished The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time.
Interesting to see how the mind of a Asperger child works.

I have finished my 1st book of 2015 and its one thats been on my tbr pile for ages so a good start to the year! It was Cheating at Solitaire by Ally Carter. Very enjoyable. A light and easy to get into book.
I'm not sure what to start next but possibly The Maze Runner (my Mum bought me the series for Christmas)
After watching Esio Trot on New Years Day I thought I might try and re-read all the Roald Dahl books this year starting with that one. The tv programme was enjoyable but it was so different to the book it felt like someone had started to read it, liked the way it sounded and then didn't bother to read any more, which was disappointing as its one of my favourite stories from when I was growing upNo more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
Target for 2018 = 7/21
No more buying DVDs ? 2018 target 27/52
