Still dancing to blow the debt clouds away

Options
Hello Dear Friends

I have yet to look at my previous diaries…

Here is where I am now ….

2025 marks a year of change…..

I have finally finished a path I chose in 2019 to retrain so I wouldn’t be on the work heap at 49.

I can honestly say that in the second half of my fifties I am in the best shape I can be mentally and physically.

I can proudly say I finished my formal qualifications and now work from my converted garage to help people with their mental health.

In the autumn I closed a business that bought in some money from a former life in finance but gave me so much stress.

I am beginning to re - evaluate what I do in my life - after an enlightening assessment for dyslexia and potential other neurodiverse traits.

I am beginning to understand who I am at last !

However five years of academia has left us in debt and we have dreams of life in the future which motivates me to work hard at my word of the year - Reduce !!!

Looking forward to motivating myself through the diaries this year x

Good to be back x

    Morning all

My 2025 word is reduce - this covers a lot of things my debt, the items that I own, my waistline and perhaps some of my more negative feelings.

It’s 945 and I’m laying in bed. I’ve been awake since about 8 although the alarm went off at 7:30. I currently have a cat on my lap and a cat curled up tight against my hip. I’ve had a frothy coffee And a third of a protein bar as my first of two snacks of the day. There is no urgency for me to get up. There is no expectation from anybody else in fact my husband has said rest as we are going away this weekend for his birthday and I think I’ve got the start of possible lurgy.

Contentment, I hear you say….. yet it’s Wednesday and in my head I think to myself it’s a working day and I need to get up.

I now work part time and I have a new client later on this afternoon. There is admin work I need to do but it’s not necessarily urgent.

So I can stop feeling guilty - reduce my emotional shame.

I can cherish this time with my fur babies. Before one pounces on the other with jealousy.

    Yesterday

Win - A no spend day

Win - Signed up a new client

Win - Saw two regular clients  = money in

Win - identified items to declutter and in boot of my car - charity shop

Win - spend time on a current WIP #crochet

Win - Scanned several family photos and kept and filed only the good ones #digitisingphotosproject

Win - I kept to my nutritional plan - ( just about ) Declined the mince pie but did have the shortcrust pastry on top of the home-made pie ( Reducing this from the freezer😆)

So yesterday was a good day …….
