Catching up, love your kitties but did laugh about Master H and the windows.

Katie F I used to like, but even re- reading one I wasn't so keen anymore. Something else to re home actually.

Intrigued by the two Cs, it's good to have something to aim for.

We went about a decade ago…. DH university friend was working in Trinidad. So we went for 10 days and on the way stopped off at St. Lucia because BA used to learn there before going onto Trinidad and I’d always wanted to go. Do you remember the films that used to be before the main film. I remember seeing as a teenager a tourist information about St. Lucia. Although we saw the rainforests and spent time on the beach which I loved, we were only there for three nights. I’ve always wanted to go back to St. Lucia or as I love death in Paradise perhaps to another island like Martinique where the series is filmed.

I kind of thought we might renew our wedding vows at our 20th anniversary but that’s next year so I don’t think that’s a realistic option…. But I think there was a realisation that I need to stop spending so that we could start paying off the debt and really considering a big holiday…..

Hello to old friends and new readers

@redofromstart - Mr H is certainly a character and I suspect will feature on here at times 🤣

The 2 C’s - Caribbean see my reply to @beanielou

The other being Cumbria we honeymoon there 18 years ago and have fallen in love with the law of the county on the Solway and we go back every year. we decided a few years ago that if we possibly can we would relocate to that part of the world. at the moment it’s a bit of a dream for all sorts of commitment reasons for both myself and my DH down here. Mine is an aged P and my DH for an elected community post down here which possibly ends in 2728.

We live in a beautiful bungalow by the Thames so moving north would release equity. We have no children just the feline variety. Although we do have some extended family we are not close. So there is no reason why we can’t relocate and for both of us moving to a different climate as the years progress and get hotter down south would be very beneficial to both of us.

I do know that I have filled this bungalow with an awful lot of stuff and so one of the big drivers for me at the moment is to reuse repurpose, reduce … So when the time is right, we could really just do it……..

Thank you. I decided several years ago that I would really focus on the positives each day. my childhood nickname was mini moaner  and I can’t really focus on all the struggles and niggles of my day and all my life and that’s not good for my mental well-being.

so I hope there’ll be many more wins going forward which will also help me and encourage me towards my goals.

Hello dear friends old and new

Here are my wins  for Tuesday

Busy work day - was at my desk by 9.30.  We did go out for lunch - wasn’t planned but busy day and hadn’t sorted menu out and cleaner in the kitchen so husband suggested a trip to our favourite cafe on the river….. felt tad guilty however there was a few wins from it …

Wins - loyalty card was full so got a free drink…

Win - I worked out a non bread lunch that I could have next time I go with a friend

Win - time with DH where we could talk about stuff including finance

Win - being close to the water - a drive so the feeling of being out and sitting open a busy cafe watching everyday life feeds the soul.

Win - three clients - one new

Win - a couple of hours to myself in the evening as DH had a birthday drink with his twin - so could watch Call the Midwife in peace !

Win - finished the KF book - so no 3 this year.. biography of Edith Piaf next

Win - I have completed tasks both on my photo project and my craft WIP projects - weaving in the ends……..

Win - weight was down on the scales - I ate to the nutritional plan ( lots of protein and good fats low on carbs for the last two days ) although a couple of cheeky Christmas chocolates crept in

    Hello dear friends

Win - embroidery day - local venue - teacher I’ve been going to for over a decade and friends who attend her classes. I say for me, it’s as good as a spa day. Cost of the day has been covered by Christmas money.

Win - I used to buy myself a mid morning tea cake ( breakfast ) and lunch there to support them as it’s a local charity however they no longer do dairy free soup or a main snack that doesn’t involve potatoes or bread so I bring my own. I buy a drink at lunchtime and a piece of cake for DH. No soup, sandwich and cake for me. I bought my own breakfast (protein bar) and lunch soup in a flask made by DH and a protein shake also made by DH!

Win - I didn’t buy any extras from the Embroidery teacher, which is a habit of mine.

    Win - new client started

Win - I started to consume (do) part of the work frog task I had been putting off….

Win - I have completed tasks both on my photo project and my craft WIP projects - completed joining one section of a blanket - now to weave in the ends…. )

Win - I ate to plan again except for one last Christmas chocolate

Spend - car parking, hot drink and a HM cake for DH

Note - the Embroidery day - was already bought pre Christmas - it should’ve been paid off with my Christmas money from a family member. However, I am conscious of something I read on one of the other diaries that said that they always spent Christmas money three times over…..  I need to check and be mindful of how I pay for the next one.

    Hello

Yesterday was a challenging day - with a budgeted sports massage and oestopath - I did by the end of the day feel like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards - so my new adventure for 2025 a local fun choir tastier session had to be postponed that mentally 😡 off and as DH was out it was an evening in front of the TV. I also ended up eating from the cupboard …. win in one respects but not good for the scales

win - used up, porridge oats, a mini magnum, two hovis biscuits and sweetcorn!

Win - Cuddles in bed with both felines - always a drop of joy to start the mornings off

Win - dropped again on the scales - and I have decreased to a different starting number ( weighing in kilos ) 69.8

Win - I have completed tasks both on my photo project and my craft WIP projects - one colour of a scraps granny square 🥳😝
