    Tuesday

Another day in the office …..

Managed some of the second module - was rather more hard going different speaker but I will persevere.

    More shredding and sorting…

    2 client appointments ……..

Had to have an early tea as DH had a council meeting…

Our lovely cleaner was very pleased with the new sheet - it made her life easier

Think I overdid it Mon…. Last night listened to podcasts and played games on the phone I was brain dead.  Went to bed as I was really cold but that pleased Miss Gumdrops as she likes cuddles in bed.

    Another NSD !

    Wednesday

I got myself to Pilates - which did my body the power of good and I got to see a four-legged friend Jake - a cockerpoo - my Pilates teacher is his furdaddy - I used to see him every week when I went to the studio in his back garden. He is a bundle of joy sadly recovering from a little op so he had to come in to be kept an eye on - his little face brings so much joy

I park in waitbloom - so always pop in to buy one or two things as a top up. I used to buy a milkshake and a snack as a reward after Pilates. I’m pleased to report that with new MSE ways. I took water and a snack. From home and even my snack was made up of dates and nuts from a multi bags. Walked out with three things was a real win-win.

I also sat down and started to put a budget together, which I will share next week because it prompted conversations with DH. This was so positive….

Also managed to do some more photo project crocheting and reading .

Husband made a very nice prawn salmon curry from stocks in both store cupboard and freezer with the addition of some fresh spinach and PakChoi

    Hello

    Saturday & Sunday

Friends staying - which is very unusual nowadays - I will admit I kind of like my home to be DH and the felines. However it was lovely to see them and them went Sunday lunchtime after brunch and I had been to church.

All spending had been budgeted for. Edit - oh dear and then I remembered I was very moved by an obit of a young man in the readers lives section of The T!imes section and decide to make a £10.00 donation in his memory to the scout hut appeal….

Sunday afternoon was some domestic chores - a few I had been putting off.

Then settled down in front of Shetland and crocheting.

I reflected that although we have been out to the coffee shop for brunch on Saturday, which has some artisan small businesses out the back. I had not suggested us walking round them and browsing something. I would’ve suggested pre-Covid as we all concluded we have enough knickknacks in our houses….

    Hello ……dear friends

Finishing a catch up with feline friends as company

    Monday and Tuesday

Physically I found entertaining friends really exhausting and I spent most of Monday in bed resting, listening to podcasts and reading. Except I did make it Pilates, driving myself, halfway there I thought to myself I haven’t put in my snack to give me energy to drive home, bother, I thought, that would mean I would have to buy something….. until I remembered the emergency protein bar in my coat pocket. As I park in Waitbloom car park, I do, make sure I pop in and buy a few top up items in lieu of car parking fees. This time I bought a Shopping list and only had two items on it I was proud to say that I stuck to the list and that nothing else sneakily made it in the basket.

I also got paid today an installment of work I did last August that went straight to the credit card to pay off our anniversary trip to see Elbow in June

    Only budgeted spending today.

I reflected how today was a real win because I did manage to get Pilates and not cancel it and I did allow myself to rest acknowledging that hosting friends across the weekend is full on and that my body is not what it used to be and it needed recharging!

This also meant I had various cuddles with feline companions!

    Tuesday

This was an official workday. I had three client meetings in between times I worked on several work based projects.

I also managed to do a bit more reading and some of my crochet project.

It is a very good feeling when I know that money is coming into my bank account as a self-employed person from what I did today and that I hadn’t actually spent anything.

I have had four personal non-spend days so far this month !!!!

DH made supper tofu stir fry - so we have achieved a meat free day this week.

    Hello dear diary

Been awol - and is definitely not good for the finances.

Currently in bed having had a nasty fall - so still plodding and determined to get back on the debt busting wagon…..

Counting my limited blessings for today I did manage to see two clients so I’ve earned some money.

Stopped myself buying a new make up brush decided to make deal with what I got…..

DH is out seeing his brother so I decided to take an early night with the felines my iPad, podcasts and my book

last night I did see the latest Bridget with a friend and as I say for those Bridget devote such as myself it was a very good film even if I needed a box of Kleenex

Sorry to hear about the fall, hope you’re not too shaken up or sore.

A work colleague said exactly the same thing about the Bridget movie today. She thought she was going to be laughing but ended up crying.
