thats a really sneaky way of forcing you to use their software0

Its not really sneeky it only happned when it was sold to CPW , cant really blame them stopping a different company accessing there systems0

It's interesting that the US AOL billing site still accepts login and security question details...! It's just the actual billing information that's missing.

I just signed up to AOL BB £14.99 package via quidco. I am new to BB still on dial up.
I am waiting at moment for them to send me router and set up pack.
Should I be able to get 9.99 package? is it too late to refer friend?
I called this Aol no 0800 200 6045, it gives option of 1 sales/new product or 2 billing existing customers.
I tried 1 but women said offer was only to existing cust and came via pop up on screen.
Should I beable to get 9.99 version and if so what best no and option (1 or 2) to choose.
Thank you in advance for any help:T

I think the best option is wait until your broadband is active and then ring up and ask for the 999 deal if they say no then threaten to leave, i would try and speak to the Irish call centre ive had more luck with those you might have to redial a few times to get them instead of india, https://www.saynoto0870.com has normal rate numbers to call0

I'm currently on BB gold and been on it for 2 years.
Tried to get BB silver and was only offered:
£9.99/month
1 month free
12 month contract
No modem/router
Anyone got any different recently?0 -
The only extra i got was free wireless router and 1 month contract to be honest i think i was lucky, i would snap that offer up ASAP before they change it, i dont think any ISP comes close at that price.0

When migrating to AOL bb as a new customer.
Does anyone know please?
After having negotiated by phone a ‘special’ deal such as £9.99 silver,
Or anything differing from say the ‘standard’ silver package
Is it normal practice to have difficulty, even if requested, in getting an email (or postal) verification of subscription amount to pay with terms.
Before actually losing service with current isp connection.
And getting as far as being connected to aol and being able to view account and
online billing via their “keywords”?
Do the terms go through as per verbal agreement with no problems anyway?
(Regardless of any confirmation).
Thanks.

It took me three requests despite the the guy stating that he was going to send the e-mail "straight away"!
I've recently phoned up to downgrade to silver (from the obligatory platinum during the trial month). Of course, I had an e-mail through to say that it was on 12 month contract, despite agreeing otherwise. So, another call, another confirmation that it was monthly (apparently their system only supports 12 months contracts, but notes are added to the account - here's hoping!). And of course a request for a confirmatory e-mail. As yet, nothing!
And what's more, three e-mails that I did receive in downgrading have now been deleted, and not by me (honest gov'!!!).0 -
They sent me emails straight away to my AOL email address, you have to put them in the "save" folder otherwise i beleive they automatically delete after so long i think0
