Although there wasn't too much response to my original message.............

In your previous post you said "They've got the wireless router that came with their BT broadband order"

Depending on how old this wireless router is, it may be locked so that it can only be used with BT.

It's a BT Voyage 2091. Do you know it they're all (un)locked or does it vary?

    Thanks,
    Dave.

Not sure that they all are but just thought that you should know about this. Use google and you will find it discussed previously.

I called last Wednesday, 1st November and got the following deal:
    • No monthly contract (migrated)
    • No modem (already have one, and said it was supported)
    • First month free
    • £9.99/month on silver
    • £25 for refer a friend (and £25 to the friend as well, applied after 45 days)
Monthly cost over 12 months for comparison, £7.08.

How did I get it? Simply asked!!
    • Started by saying that I was interested in moving.
    • Said I was migrating hence wanted the advertised free month and monthly contract. No problem so far.
    • Said I had heard of people getting Silver at £9.99/month. Checked with supervisor, granted.
    • Asked for refer a friend credit. Checked with supervisor, granted.
It was as easy as that. Doesn't necessarily mean it'll be that easy (or possible at all) every time.

    Good luck!

    Dave.

Thanks for the correction, I didn't know. The log-in page still comes up but I'm not a customer.

If you go to the American billing site then you can login and it asks for your security question, but it then goes on to say something along the lines of "the information you require is not available, use the client software".
