Swoon. Egg Money Card just hit with a large payment - must be from Santander. Not quite the amount I asked for, but a rather strange 93% of it.0

Congrats. YorkshireBoy managed to get an answer to this strange amount - their systems can't actually work out 0% fees are - normally their maximum is 95% including the fee - so they transfer 95% less what the fee would be even though there isn't one

Applied on line, confirmed card today and checked if I had been charged a balance transfer fee (I am a Santander Current Account customer so was expecting 0%) - yes 3%.
Completely stonewalled regards correction on the credit card helpline, told I need to go into a Santander Branch and work from there.
I will, its £175 I'm trying to recover........
With hindsight guess I would have done better to apply by telephone and confirm non-application of the BT fee then.0 -

You are sure this is what they have done as Canny Jock mentioned in the post previous to yours something funny that they had done with someones BT by deducting the equivlaent to the Fee but not actually charging it .0 -

Thanks for that. That's unless they've actually charged me the fee as others have noted. Can't tell because they haven't told me how to access the account online.0 -

You need to go to Abbey/Santander online banking and register if you have not already done so and IIRC you need to add a Credit Card to your accounts ...I'm sure it'll be explained on the website .0 -

Just received the card, credit limit of £6000. Did one BT as part of the online application so still have the capacity for another one. Don't know yet if I have been charged a fee despite being a Santander current account holder.0

Got BT of 95% of credit limit
Noticed also says 0% foreign exchange fee, so can use abroad without a fee - this sounds quite useful, is this like the Nationwide card, just a credit card rather than debit card?0 -

But remember the old adage of not using cards that you have BT'd on as repayments will go to the debt with the highest interest first !!!0
