Hi there
thinking of getting my mortgage with them and wondered whether, when they do credit search, I can ask for the card at the same time so that I only have one credit search against my name?0 -
Yes I saw that screen but didn't make a note of the number because I expected an automated email with this info on. Every other company I've ever dealt with has managed this, why not Santander? no don't tell me, I already know.
Yup...That's all you get !! If you want to phone you don't need this Ref Number .Call 0845 603 98200 -
A quick update for those who had applied online around the middle of Jan. I had applied on Jan 14 and was calling up every week till yesterday to find the status of my application as I did not hear anything from them. Each time I called they the application was under process. Finally yesterday, I was told there were glitches with online applications and suggested that I make the application over phone which I did and was accepted - waiting for the paperwork to arrive. So those who have been waiting 2-3 weeks, it might be worthwhile to make a phone application.0

Am I the record holder for delay ?0 -
Quick update -
just rang the credit card tracking line... and apparently it went to the underwriters YESTERDAY.
Good grief, those poor underwriters must be sick of seeing my application because "Its just been sent" to them everytime I ring.
I asked if the credit check had been done yet and the telephone clerk said she would put me straight through to the team who deal with the next stage...
5 minutes later a young man answers the phone who asks for my credit card number... and then breaks the news that Ive been put through to the Bank of America team... and would I like a number for Santander ?
!!!!!! ??? sorry but this is just ridiculous. AAARRGGHHH !0 -
Got my Agreement to sign and T+C and DD Forms this morning so that's from 22 January to 11 February to get to this stage .I'll post them back today ...It's a second class envelope so might even put a stamp on it .0

My wife applied on the 19th January, just received her acceptance today.
Forms to sign and return enclosed, I wonder how long it will take for Santander to post out her Credit card?
Anyway I hope she gets a good credit limit which will give us some more money to stooze, £10000 would be nice in my Newcastle account paying 4%. That would make us £400 over the 12 months as I don't pay tax.0 -
