I love the make up bag too but a bit beyond me as it has a zip. So far I've only made a morsbag and a tissue holder so easy stuff. I'm looking at making DD a sports bag for school. I've found this one and this one. I'd rather make the 2nd of the two because I think the straps are nicer and it saves me pulling apart another bag to get the cord for the straps. The 2nd one doesn't have a lining though. Is there a piece of common sense advice I can stick to in order to put a lining in or should I just stick to the one pattern?0

I do prefer the second one but depending on the material you might have to put a lining in as it might fray terribly, if you can maybe double turn all the seams so this does not happen then depending on the material you use you might get away without a lining.
If you have to do a lining just use the same size pattern as for the main bag and turn the bag and the lining inside out, leaving a hole in the bottom of the lining, then once you sew them both together at the top turn them right way again through the hole you left in the lining and sew that hole up by hand. Not much effort really just a bit of a faf. Dont forget to show us your creation.Dopey_Dora_42 wrote: »oh my goodness so sorry for the size I must have done the wrong thing.is it the html code or the img code I need (I must be having a dopey moment)
