Have you looked on YouTube it's the same principles as making a sewing machine cover so search for that too on there I am sure you will find something to help you

Funnily enough, yesterday I was looking through a load of sewing patterns, embroidery transfers etc which my mum was throwing away (I'm also throwing most of the patterns away as they're all 80s - big shoulders and boxy shapes - they'll never come back into fashion!). Amongst them was a small booklet which came in a kit with Vilene Patchwork Secret - vilene with patchwork squares and triangles printed on them. Inside the booklet is a pattern for a mixer cover, which seems to be ideal. I was trying to draft my own and was becoming a bit too ambitious wanting a fitted one, which just wasn't going to work. I think this one will.
  • hi everyone. im looking for some advice on picking a range of fabric for a baby girl's cot quilt.i have made a couple of cot quilts and have found that the contemporary fabrics get the best response. last one i did was cherry reds with creams and pinks.

I like using co-ordinating fabrics( I think they are called conversations but forgive me if I am wrong). quite like the TILDA ranges but am really hoping someone can point me in the direction of another range because I like to have a choice but any advice/personal recommendations etc greatly appreciated. Julie

hello can someone start a new thread as this one is too long thanks :)
When someone does start a new thread (don't feel I post regularly enough to start it myself) could they please put a link to the The All New Sewing Room No Chat Thread it's a good resource for tutorials but can be a pain to find.
    Thank you Vi
