I think they are so good that if they didn't have wings they would be very versatile for instance as a man and woman bedfellows for anniversary pressies or for wedding/engagement prapps I am running away with my ideas I don't know they are just incredibly sweet I love them!A bit like a mr and mrs or granny and grandad or bride and groom you get my drift I'm sure.

Fabulous angels, well done! I have just made a love heart out of felt using the Tilda pattern and it has come out really well so I am very pleased.

Just a quick question for all those experienced sewing people, what is the best way to finish off items? I find it hard to finish things neatly and I know there must be a knack to it.

oh my goodness so sorry for the size I must have done the wrong thing.is it the html code or the img code I need (I must be having a dopey moment)

    Dora xx

I did my first pic that size :D but it was hair i`d bought for the angels & the pic frightened everyone !!
Someone even saw animals in it ie: badger :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • those angels are adorable dora well done!

its my dd's 2nd birthday next month and she wants a princess dress, but i cant find any in her size. rather than buying a bigger one and altering it i have decided to make her one!

i have started it tonight and so far the skirt part is almost finished. it has a cream coloured silky fabric as a bottom layer. then i have used an chiffony material in the same colour to go on top. with the chiffon i have gathered it up in 3 places so that the skirt has 'swags' if that makes sense.
just need to make some sort of roses out of some red voile i have, to stitch to where its gathered
anyone know where i can find a tutorial/instructions for this?
hopefully i can get these done tomorrow. then i need to find a strappy vest top to stitch to the skirt and make some red voile 'swag' to go on and fall loose at the shoulders!

so far its looking great and i know she'll love it!
and better still it hasnt cost me anything so far (mite not cost me a penny at all if she still fits in a vest top from last summer) as everything was previously bought or i had in!
  • forgot to say, id like to make my son a superheroe cape too. any ideas on tutorials?
i did get a book out of library with instructions to make capes but its a bit confusing!
    must b a simpler way?

and finally, rummer i cant give you advice as the princess dress is only my 2nd project, but is there any pics of ur heart? i love seeing other peoples makes!

Which brand of patterns do you all prefer ? and which do you not like?
I prefer Burda i find they`re easier to understand.
Simplicity to me are the hardest ones.
