tell him at 18 years of age he should know better.
  • Hi,
The only thing that works 100% is Stain and Odor Remover by Simple Solution. It neutralises the smell instantly from anything and smells a bit like almonds. My old cat who died a few years ago started to wee in the house as he was getting quite old. The smell was vile. I tried everything but this product worked. My male neutered cat has started to wee in the house recently but he seems to be doing it to mark his territory as the cat next door has started to come into the house. This stuff is fantastic. I have bought it from a pet store before but recently ordered it online. Just go to Google and type in Stain and Odor Remover and then find the cheapest or buy smaller bottle from Ebay.
You should be fine with this stuff and no more stinky smells.

I recall seeing a product on one of the shopping channels for this (seemed a bit of an odd thing for a shopping channel!). Anyway, I *think* it was this:

a solution of bio washing powder & warm water, & clean the area with this, it should help get rid of the smell. I know it works on sick stains ! at least its a cheap option to try ! ;)

When my cat peed on the carpet a while ago I tried Febreeze but then it just stunk of cat pee AND Febreeze!
I then sprinkled bicarbonate of soda on the area and rubbed it in and left it for a while then vacuumed it out and the smell disappeared completely. What ever you do, don't use Shake'n'vac - you will never get rid of the smell, it will linger in the room and the vacuum cleaner for ever!

    Hi there,
When my cat went through a BAD phase of peeing and pooing in a particular corner of our dining room I bought a biological pet odour spray from our local pet shop. I can't remember the name unfortunately but it is FANTASTIC! You just spray it on and leave it. The smell just goes. Having said that, at that time the smell was so bad( flippin' cat!) that I just POURED it on.

I also found out later when I bought an old wardrobe that smelt of mothballs, that it gets rid of that smell too....any smell that comes from an animal seems to be effected by it.
