ooo Krystal, when you're around...I remember you saying something about your cheap nappies this morning - did you get them from a shop or eBay/similar?chopsticks wrote: »Thank you
. Nope you you didn't, but it doesn't matter
My Caitlin is with an "i" and Krystal's and PinkPig's are with a "y".
Yep we were due exactly two weeks apart. She was due on the 5th but arrived exactly a week early on the 28th June so she's exactly six weeks younger than Rhys and 13 days older than PinkPig's Caitlyn.
<snip>
Krystal and Em - did your Body Shop orders arrive OK? Mine arrived in a jiffy bag but the box was all crushed. I emailed them yesterday but haven't had a reply yet.
Body shop order arrived today by UPS, I ordered 6 things though and they came in a bigger box with some of the rustlyest brown paper ever padding it out... Caitlyn loved the paper, she dragged it all around the floor and kept rolling on it!Buttonmoons wrote: »I saw the cutest denim short dungarees in H & M for Keira, they were Hello Kitty, but they wanted £20 for them  Sod that one!
Oops... Caitlyn's just been crawling round the living room and discovered the end of the phone charger  I would have been worried if the cat hadn't already previously chewed through about 5 and not been hurt... But don't tell hubby, he'd pitch a fit
Incidentally... Sometimes I feel ignored... Sometimes I read someone's post and don't acknowledge them... If we all acknowledged everyone's posts... This thread would be a heck of a lot longer than it already is... We need to just accept that sometimes we're going to get overlooked and move on.... (Or be really self indulgent and repost it a bit later)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

got Kian down for his nap in his cot. Goes asleep there now much more easily than his pram so we should be able to remove the carrycot part in the next week or so. it will free up more space just as a buggy.
must brign his monitor into kitchen with me. (being good and not watching crap afternoon tv)'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
My body shop stuff just came by RM, nicely packaged like Krystals and not damaged0

Right - I just want to tell you how I read the thread...so if anybody thinks I am a cow I can pre-justify myself
I read this:Hello, a late happy new yearhow is everyone doing?
keely.
I think 'ooh - hi keely, haven't seen you in a while, whatcha been up to, did Elliot have a nice christmas?'
But then I see this:money_maker wrote: »hi stranger
How are you?
And MM has said it for me...so I don't want to repost it, so I keep my gob shut, and I probably thank MM for saving my fingers.
If someone else says something that I was going to say I can't see the point of me re-saying it, unless I have more to add or I want to [STRIKE]disagree[/STRIKE] offer an alternative viewpoint.
I would hate to think that the person felt ignored.
Also - sometimes I would see this:Hello, a late happy new yearhow is everyone doing?
keely.
If I am catching up a day later or whatever, I won't comment...but sometimes nobody else has either...but I still thought the same thing, and I probably thanked the post as a kind of 'hello'
Confuzzled yet???

LOL Krystal - hold a grudge much?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
She's asleep in her cot!!
She was falling asleep on me so I took her upstairs, tried to change her nappy as I thought she'd pooped, but she hadn't so I didn't change her and just popped her in her cot. She cried for 33 seconds (I timed her again) and is now fast asleep. Let's how long it lasts!!
Several people have mentioned about not fitting in/not being able to give advice etc. My experience of this thread, and the pregnancy thread when I was on it, is that everyone has different strengths and knows more about things in one area than in other areas, which is why people reply to some questions but not others. Also, I know that sometimes I only skim posts (especially when I've got around 20 pages to catch up on) so it can be easy to miss things. I think we've got a really nice mix of people on here and it's always sad when someone leaves.
Where's RMAC and Becles? I haven't seen them for a while. Glam has disappeared again too!
Feely - I can't believe your NCT group. What horrible people. My group is so lovely and I can't imagine anyone doing that and feel horrible for you that they have. You don't have to say if you don't want to, but whereabouts in the country are you?My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Ooops- clicked to reply to this when you posted it and then got distracted! Hope you sorted her out without too much heartache for either of you.
Are all the babies on here christened or going to be christened? We haven't had Benjamin christened because we don't go to church and it seems a bit hypocritical for us to do so just for a ceremony (same reason we didn't get married in church).
...not that I am commenting on anyone elses choices, merely curious
Edit - it has just taken me 30 mins to write that post so there is probably loads of other stuff going on now too!. She's been happy enough this afternoon though, so hopefully I haven't scarred her for life!
Re. Christenings...we're having Caitlin Christened. In fact, coincidentially the Vicar called me today about it. I am not a regular Church goer and only go maybe 5 or 6 times a year, but I do have beliefs. We're having her Christened at the Church in the village that I grew up in and where my parents still live. My mum is a regular attender at the Church and is very involved with committees, fundraising etc. As it is my childhood Church (I used to go to Sunday School there, and over the years I've played the organ been a sidesperson and helped with fundraising), we got married there and know the Vicar quite well, it means more to us than our local Church which we've never been to and don't know the Vicar.
LOL at Button's Muslim MIL about having Keira Christened.jillie1974 wrote: »did the free stepping this morning. just set the speed and lengh of time and i step while watching This Morning, unfortunately (or just a the right time ) Kian woke up for a feed. did 25mins of stepping today so far. want to do a little more as that was 2000 steps.
Back again soon. Caitlin is awake and has just started crying. 26 minutes sleeping0 -
