MSE Parents Club Part 9

This is a continuation of the Parents Club part 8 which can be found HERE. Part 8 was eventually closed due to the length of it

All parents are welcome, mums & dads with children of any age. We're also happy to help people who just have questions about kids, even if you don't have any yet.

This is a place of mutual support, so feel free to ask and answer whatever you want. Feel free also just to moan if that will help!

If you want to put details of your kids and their ages in your signature then this helps us keep track of all of the little ones, but this is not obligatory.

no throwing up here 3 :D I know hubby is planning to work 2mo but I really don't think he should! Its not like he sits on his tush all day in a cosy office, he's lifting heavy things, welding, grinding, drilling in a big freezing cold workshop not good when all he's eaten in the last 24hrs is 2 slices of toast and some dry pasta with chicken!

Bl00Dy men! When OH was filling in his forms for new job, it turns out he's had half a day off in 8 years! He went in with the bug last month and probably infected half the office.
Any idea what to do with yourself when the New Year starts? I'm lucky enough to work from home, but it was strange at first. You'll get used to whatever you decide to do. Being on call and at home for your kids is quite satisfying.

We're all okay thanks. Lucy is a diamond. Takes some of the pressure off me. Still keeps saying she hopes I like her present and I can't really say much other than "i'm sure I will". Poor thing is nervous.

I would say it's Christmas excitement right now. What, 3 days until Christmas. Holidays are usually an 'exciting time', but with gifts on Friday, it just makes them more hyper.

I really should do something before my brain turns to mush!
First job is clearing out the house and doing lots of ebaying and trips to the tip. Thats should cover a month or two!

I'm off to bed now with JD in lemsip! Is MM still about? How are you feeling tonight?

  • Tara - Tesco Man. What would happen if he had slipped and broke some goods? It's not like he could replace them on the spot and with Christmas being here...As it was, it didn't happen, so I don't suppose it really matters :o
