  • Then the ad saying 'As seen on TV' is somewhat misleading. I wouldn't expect it to be an identical replica but I'd expect it to be the same colour and general shape even if a bit smaller.

    Exactly WHS! ^^^

These toys are obviously home/hand made ( I am not aware of any machine that can produce crochet goods?), I really don`t see why on earth they couldn`t have at least bought the right colour wool. But the really annoying issue here is that they took orders they could not fulfil and guaranteed delivery before Christmas then let people down. Snow or not some of these orders were placed a month before Christmas  I am sure that TS will have plenty to say to them about their misleading description on the website, taking money for goods they did not/could not supply and failing on the guaranteed delivery. I hope eveyone who was let down reports the company ASAP after the hols.

    Lol!

Have seen some of the BMG burp ones for sale on ebay and have to say they look NOTHING like the original cloth ears ones (or the picture on the website I ordered from) and are definitely not "as seen on TV". Will be interesting to see what trading standards think - if mine ever arrives .

Here's hoping Helen....but I wouldn't hold my breath. Mind you, might be a laugh to see what sort of freakish creature eventually plops through the letter box.....if it ever does. :D

Like the ones on eBay? (search for '
HILL TV BURP GENUINE KNITTED CHARACTER *IN HAND*' and be disgusted at the price (£32) people are charging for a yellowed 8" knock-off)

Do not buy one of these from eBay! You will be paying way way more than they cost from the proper supplier and way way way more than they are worth.

    Hahaha!! Brilliant.
Whether Dan is or is not company related I cannot say. But by posting the same thing time and time again it certainly seems suspicious, even if it's perfectly innocent.

I'm yet to hear from Paypal regarding the transaction but by the sound of things I will be requesting my money back even if I do ever receive the item due to its poor quality.Talk about adding insult to injury.

Just had a look at the picture on eBay; oh dear, oh dear. Don't get me wrong I couldn't knit anything better (well, I can't knit anything), but that is nothing like the Knitted Character we know and love. Unless I've got a problem with my colour balance on the TV, I thought it was supposed to be pink and white, not yellow.

Here's hoping for a better quality item, (though any item is better than nothing, or is it?).

    Indeed!

Although I strongly suspect that this is just what will be dropping through my letterbox judging from the description and tags :rotfl:

Maybe its just as well he didn't arrive in time to go in my son's stocking from Santa after all! :xmassmile

Have to say I am beginning to see the funny side now even though I'm still appalled at "Sally's" false promises.

I think you have to see the funny side really, it's like the old saying, 'If you didn't laugh, you'd cry' or something along those lines.

Heres hoping that something knitted will drop through my letterbox soon.
