Well, mine came just before lunchtime :j and disappointing it is too.:( The colours are weird and it does look very small. I didn't have a ruler handy to measure it and didn't have anything else of 10 inches to compare it with though.:o
Does look very small though and I would say definitely not worth the money. But at least it got here so I suppose that's something.0 -
Mine has not arrived either dispite ordering on 18th november and that sally woman was most friendly when ordering, now gone quiet on my emails. I have asked for a refund. Watch this space.0

It's great that some of you received it, and you're among the few people who had a happy ending to this little saga.
I didn't, which means that one of my children will be without one of her Christmas presents tomorrow. I'd planned to hide him in the tree with her name on a label hanging from his arm. Possibly I could still do that if it arrives after Christmas, and before we take the tree down, but it won't be nearly as much fun at that point.
Yes, they're a small company, but that doesn't make it okay for them to make promises they're not willing or able to keep. If they guarantee pre-Christmas delivery, it is their absolute responsibility it make sure it happens. They could have done that by sending them by Special Delivery. I live in one of the worst snow ravaged parts of the country: Basingstoke, and in one of the worst areas. We haven't had a normal postal delivery in my road for four days, but Special Delivery packages are being delivered here. Royal Mail send them in a van.
A guarantee is a guarantee, or it just turns into an empty promise. I trusted them to keep their promise. That is what people expect, surely, or why bother to put it on their website? If they'd said 'we'll try our hardest to get it to you by Christmas, but if the weather's bad, or the postal workers are on strike, or something else unexpected happens, we can't guarantee it.' then fair enough, we all take our chances. We go ahead and order, or we decide to leave it. Other companies, large and small, do that. That's honest. It doesn't lull buyers into a false sense of security. If I could see that this company had done everything possible to make certain that their guarantee meant something, I could forgive them, but they didn't. A few people received them by Recorded Delivery, and some by normal First Class Post, but neither of those methods was good enough. They were sent at the last possible moment, and it was sheer luck that some arrived in time.0 -

You are absolutely right - it just isn't good enough - sorry you didn't get yours0 -
I am one of the unlucky ones who, unable to afford to buy another present, has to tell my Girlfriend that she wont be getting anything from me this Christmas. That's a really good feeling, knowing that she will have something to give to me. Looks like wherever she ordered my presents from they don't make guarantees that are false. I ordered my Knitted Character in November and there is no question in my mind that the blame lies squarely with the people who make them. If they tell me it was guaranteed delivery it should have been sent special delivery; a guaranteed service. Sure, one can blame Royal Mail or the weather for delays, but Special Delivery is largely unaffected from these factors, and if the the people, (Sally and co.), had a ounce compassion they would have emailed me an apology, or at the very least kept me informed. It should not be my job to find out where my item is, (though I have not heard a single thing since Monday which was the 'guarantee' that I would have it before Christmas). I understand things happen that can throw a spanner in the works but this is unacceptable. Thanks for ruining my Christmas.0

Yes, but with the appropriate skills and equipment, surely you could have done it yourself?0 -

Perhaps I should clarify, what I meant was that Special Delivery is largely unaffected by these factors. Of course there is drastic conditions that will affect this and I understand that. But special delivery is just that, Special. You pay for that extra level of service, which of course could still be affected by adverse weather, but because of the additional cost you pay, there is extra effort to get your package delivered to you. Now, if bad weather prevents planes from landing or trains from moving, then it goes without saying that it matters not what service you use. However, In this case the item was sent from Cardiff; no planes required. Granted, snow may have been an issue but my biggest complaint is the way we were guaranteed delivery, even in the face of these potential issues with snow etc. If it had been shipped SD at least I would know what was going on because I would have tracking. Besides, the other things ordered from elsewhere were sent SD and arrived Yesterday. This item was ordered in NOVEMBER and should have been sent long before the bad weather even became an issue.
This could have all been made a lot easier if the makers had just sent an apology or an explanation.0 -
I too am one of the unlucky ones having placed an order on 3rd December for a knitted character with "guaranteed delivery for christmas". I receved several automated emails assuring me that all orders placed before 10th December would be fulfilled, the final one saying that my order had been sent and would be delivered on 22nd December. I waited in all day on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th December but my order did not arrive and the company were uncontactable - no phone number and only automated email responses to my requests for a tracking number. I have now requested a refund but this does not compensate for the disappointment caused to my little boy. Had the company been honest about their inability to fulfil the orders taken, then I might have had time to order the item from the original suppliers as they had stock on 20th December. I am very annoyed about this as this was the only present that my son asked for this year and he is going to be really disappointed that he didn't get it. The only reason I didn't order from cloth ears was because I was promised my character was on its way on the 21st December.
Some of you have obviously been fortunate enough to get your knitted characters on time, but I agree with others that this has been handled very badly and can't just be blamed on the weather. We've had no problems with our postal services here - don't even have snow!
