to those that have received their items, how were they sent?
Mine arrived by regular 1st class post. Two figures cost £1.62 to send and I had been charged £5.98 p&p.The plastic envelope couldn`t have cost more than a few pence and there wasn`t any paper work enclosed so no printing costs there either.
I haven`t decided yet whether to give mine to my son or send it back for a refund. He will certainly pick up on the fact it is not a very good copy but it is better than nothing (as some of you have been left)0 -

Hmm... company related?:rolleyes:This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -

I am raging at this so called companys complete disrespect for its customers. The majority of these knitted characters were to be given as christmas presents to children for goodness sake.Unacceptable  i have lodged a complaint through google checkout and will also be contacting trading standards.0

Hello everybody
Came across this post whilst researching the 'Knitted Character' pheomenon. It seems that on eBay, people have paid silly money for quite awful rip-offs! I know some admit that they are home-made attempts but others are quite obviously copies which the sellers assure are the real thing. One went for £80 Eek!
Anyway, if you dig around a bit you will find that 'Sallys' company (BMG Burp Ltd) was only registered on 24/11/2009 (registered no. 07085283) whereas the official supplier, Cloth Ears, has been going since 2007.
I don't believe that 'harryhillknittedcharacter' has any affiliation with the TV Burp production team (even though they make out that the do) but it seems they set up to take advantage of the massive popularity of 'KC' in time for Christmas.
By the way, I got 2x genuine KCs from Cloth Ears (ordered 08/11), recieved 12/12 and am very happy with them (as are my GF and mum, who were the recipients).
Just to let you know, I've no agenda against any company but have been doing a bit of research into the (sometimes frankly cringeworthy) copies and the massive popularity of the KC in general.
I hope that those persuing a refund or other action are successful, and wish a merry Christmas to you all!0 -

I would be interested to know what trading standards have to say, please do let me know because I am willing to do the same if they want to hear from more people who were sold the same false promises. I have contacted paypal regarding the seller, I don't know how far that will go. I suppose I should count myself lucky that I was buying for my Girlfriend who understands that her not getting a present is due to the unacceptable service, but I feel sorry for parents who are having to explain the same thing to their children.0 -
i can across this site while trying to find out about the above company, i ordered my knitted c on 25 november and paid through google checkout, ordered through them as cloth ears were not taking orders, and they seemed quite genuine, i was also desperate as my daughter had put it on her christmas list and did not want her to think santa does not exsist (she is 5) anyway, no knitted c, email no responses, just automated ones. i waited in all day on the 22nd dec as the last email said i would be getting it next day packet signed for, nothing turned Up, cannot find a phone no anywher even directory enquiries dont have it, anyway no knitted character for christmas, very upset daughter, ordered now from cloth ears, which have put the price up and charge more postage than before, but should have it shortly, think i have lost my £15, but at least all the stress is over waiting for it.0
