Nope, the post has just been and still nothing has arrived. That's what I call guaranteed next day delivery.

I'm still waiting. Like Helen (and others, no doubt) I waited in all day on 22nd-24th, expecting, like a fool, to have it arrive by some kind of signed-for method.

I even had to turn down an invitation to go to the cinema on 22nd with my friend and our daughters as our annual pre-Christmas treat. So it even disrupted that.

Sorry to hear that you've still not received yours either and I am all too aware of the disruption waiting in for this item has caused. The times I had to leave the house I had to draft my Grandparents and Parents in to house-sitting. We had to pass on a number of pre-christmas functions to ensure we didn't miss the delivery. Turns out that we need not have bothered!

    LOL, you know you are!!

I got sucked into reading this (why do I always do that??). I am sorry some of you did not get your parcels but it has happened to a lot of people this Xmas. I have had problems getting orders to my customers but I did keep my customers updated and have offered them all full refunds.

If you no longer want these orders then you need to cancel your orders and ask for a refund. Do this ASAP.

There is a whole merry go round of things that happen because of the snow. I could not get out to the Post Office as there are none near me so I would not have been able to send Special Delivery but chance the post box - maybe this company did the same. Sent the emails and then found that more snow had come and the PO was inaccessible, they would have gone normal post to ensure they arrived. Some employees would not have been able to get to work. If they had been out of materials they might not have been able to get supplies. And so the list goes on. It sounds like the company was out of it's depth and could not cope, the best you can do is write and ask for an apology and your money back if you want to cancel the order.

As for kids and christmas. My daughter (7) asked 'Santa' for one thing but it was something rubbish so I did not waste my money on it but told her that you can ask for something but Santa might not have been able to get them all made so he had sent something else special instead. My son (5) wanted scalextric - he did not get that either as he is too young. On Xmas morning they had forgotten about it because they have other presents and one marked from Santa. I never make any promise that Santa will being them what they want. Ever. It is all about teaching them values. If he had asked Santa for a real dog what would you have done then? Got one anyway because it was all he had asked for?

However, what you could do is when it arrives is to wrap it up and put it under the sofa or the like and then 'tidy up' in front of your son and 'find' the present which Rudolph must have kicked under the sofa on Xmas morning, or whatever excuse you want to use, but then he will have it to open.

And as for the chap who said he had only bought his girlfriend the one present and would have nothing to give her in exchange when she gave him his presents on Xmas morning.... really? Is this even true? You have £15 to spend on her and you bought her one £15 teddy...?? I cannot even for one minute believe that is true, sorry. If it is, well then give her an IOU and explain the situation as she doesn't believe in Santa and will no doubt be a bit more grown up about it and wait a few days longer. Show her the order confirmation if you have to and explain.

I think you need to get a grip personally. Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control, sure email the company and demand and apology or your money back but is it really worth getting that angry about?

So... back to getting your money back. Send an email with CANCEL ORDER and your order number in the title. Tell them as they have not delivered you are cancelling your order, send a letter a via Recorded Delivery (important!!) cancelling the order and give them 14 days to refund you everything else you will claim your money back via the small claims court. It costs £30 (if on benefits or a low income you may be exempt, details on the site how to do this) and you just file online, once you have applied online the company has to refund your court fees too, plus 8% interest. I'm a bit offended that you question the fact that I would only buy my Girlfriend a £15 teddy. I'm not sure why I have to explain myself but this year I have faced severe financial hardship, in fact my whole family has due to my Dad being severely ill. This year we set around the £15 limit on Christmas presents because that is all I could afford. I didn't buy for Parents, Grandparents etc, just my Girlfriend. Yes this is certainly not the most desirable situation to be in but such is life. As for why I would purchase such an item? Well, every week we watch the show and she always says how brilliant it would be to win one. Seems like a great present then, except all I have is further disappointment. She knows it is coming, (or is it?), but this situation could have been avoided if they would have kept in contact like you did with your customers. The point is that I paid for something that still has not arrived, no recent emails have been responded to and all I have been told is lies by the seller. I wish I would have bought something sensible now!

That aside, the info about getting our money back is useful, so thanks. Though the biggest problem is that no emails are being responded to.
  • anthillmob - when and if we all receive ours, we shall be certainly studying the postmark for the date is was sent recorded delivery! We have had no snow for at least 10 days and we have had post since christmas, but no sign of the KC. Funny how i paid for it on 18th november and it has taken this long. Are they too snowed in to answer their emails as well?

All they had to do was email everyone once they knew they were not going to make it in time, and given everyone a chance to replace the gift with something else. But no, we were assured that we would receive them. What good is that at 5pm on christmas eve when nothing has arrived?
