It is not a scam. The company messed up. For whatever reason and people are starting to get theirs. They probably thought they would get a few hundred orders and were swamped with thousands and it all got out of hand. You might not have had snow but others have and my business has personally suffered because of this weather - be it suppliers or getting to the Post Office. If people could not get into work/get to the PO/whatever it means that 'all hands' would not be on deck to get organised. However, if it was a scam no-one would have anything and people do - inclusing a long term poster on MSE who would certainly be putting her 2p's owrth in if it had not arrived. Try googling focus clothing on this site and you'll see what a scam actually is. This company seems to be very disorganised, that is all.
Do as I said, write a letter asking for your money back and take them to court if they do not give it back in a said amount of time.
bluecatblue - I understand however sometimes things happen and Santa cannot be depended on. You should make your children aware of this instead of promising something you actually did not have in your hand. If he asks for something expensive and you don't have the money what will you do then? You have already told him Santa brings him the thing he asks for. It won't stop him believing in Santa - it will however make him realise he cannot have everything he asks Santa for and sometimes he gives something just as good or even better. The list we give is to give Santa 'some ideas'. If he is that upset then it must because you had gone on about it too when you never had it - which in itself was foolish. It could have been lost or damaged in the mail had it been sent on time anyway.
Drscott - I apologise for insensitivity and for being so rude, I just felt you were letting this one little thing make you angry - and for what? Energies are best placed elsewhere and an explaination to your girlfriend would have resolved it, why let it spoil Xmas if you have had a crap year. Please send the letter if you have not had it by xx date and get your money back. If you cannot find the company details then post again here and someone will help you dig out more info.
And anthillmob..... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Seriously guys, if you are in any doubt about who someone might be then you have to check their posting ID else you end being looking a bit silly when you start throwing accusations around. It takes a minute or so. Hey, I've got my own business..... it could even be me..... :rotfl:0 -

Apology accepted, I understand. I can't pretend I'm not angry, because I am if truth be told, should I be? Well, probably not when things are put into perspective, but it would not be unjustified. My Girlfriend knows that I have been let down by the company and does understand but I'm just gutted really because of all the things that I could have purchased for Christmas I chose to buy something from a company who are highly disorganised and have poor customer service. If at any point they would have contacted me with an apology or offered a refund I would have taken it.
I'll wait a few more days and if I still haven't received anything I'll send them a letter as emails are fruitless, considering the item should have been with me mid-December, I think they've had enough time to get it to me.0 -
Agree with the above post, just wish that the Knitted Character people actually read this forum. The messages of great love and thanks on the website make me sick to the core!0

No you need to get a bloody grip. It's a bear. You are not going to die if you don't get it. Sue them and get your money back that way. It's that easy. Get active and send a letter instead of sitting on here whinging about not having it - grow some balls and do something about it. I've told you how to but clearly that information was not good enough for you.
As for kids being promised something because it has come from Santa, any parent with the slightest amount of common sense would not promise their child would get something if they did not actually have to give them. You are just asking for trouble. Advice they'll give that parent at a parenting class in 5-7 years time when the kid is chucking a tantrum over every little thing they cannot have and running that parents life. Unless you get a grip and deal with things like this when they are younger and give your kids some values.0 -
The fact is, whether or not this Sally woman did get far too many orders and could not cope, she should have stopped taking new orders. But she didn't. Greed took over and more and more orders went in, right through december by the looks of things.
To promise delivery before christmas, was a lie. She knew it was not possible, yet instead of stopping new orders, and emailing those who wouldnot get them on time, she has carried on taking peoples money.
That is total dishonesty.
My order went in and was paid for on 18th november. It still has not arrived, yet for weeks after that date she carried on regardless. Scammer.0
