Me too. Ordered 3rd December, was told despatched next day guaranteed packet post 21st December, still not received as of 31st December.

I think...if it had been despatched when stated, that I definitely would have received it by now - bad weather or no bad weather (incidently still haven't had any snow at all in my area).

BTW, I would be interested to know from those who did receive their KC's, how many of you had opened a dispute with paypal/google first. I had given the company the benefit of the doubt up until now, but asked google to mediate yesterday.

Happy New Year everyone x

    Helen

i asked google to meditate for me, but you have to wait 5 business days and allow the seller to respond, but i wss one of the lucky ones, so cancelled dispute.

i did try to email the kc but email was returned, again like everybody elses, just wondering if there inbox is full!
  • Been to whois dot net and the owner info is protected by www dot contactprivacy dot com, go to that website and enter harryhillknittedcharacter dot com and it will let you email either the owner, admin or billing. (there is more than one way to skin a cat)

I emailed them and am awaiting a reply seeing as the one on the website no longer works.

Sorry for not been able to put links in, its because my post count on the forum is too low.

Thanks, thats really useful seeing as their domain email addy has started bouncing. I've emailed the owner and asked for a full refund. Will let you know if I get a response.

I paid for one of these things. Had the usual email 'it will be with you by recorded delivery' etc

There are too many of these crooks out there. I am going to contact the police after the weekend and let ITV know what is happening.

I agree this is only a small matter but just say 5000 have bought these toys. Thats £75000.

Well my order was #7299 on 3rd December! So asuming they started at #1 - thats £105,689, then they've had another 4 weeks of still taking orders on top...

    Quite a few bob then...

:rotfl:This is by far the most entertaining thread I have ever read on here, thanks afh, you're a comedic genius :rotfl:
We already had knitted characters, my grandma knocked them up in a couple of hours a few years ago, but I wouldn't have paid a fiver for some off a website
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
  • They're still taking orders - using nochex!
So thats paypal, then google checkout, and now nochex.
Wonder who they'll switch to when nochex start having disputes raised.

(up to order #9715... so its over £140k they've raked in since Nov from this nice little earner now)

May I kindly ask you to read the posting from our company made toward this thread. It is of note that order numbers do not pertain to quantities, are generated randomly by the payment gateway and the site is in stasis whilst we resolve issues with our email server - The Knitted Character Team.

Could you perhaps email us directly on info@harryhillknittedcharacter.co.uk with your order number and the date the goods were physically delivered to you - I trust this was before xmas. This will enable us to better identify and address your query.

Post has been delivered.... NO knitted character, what a surprise! I bought this on the guarantee that it would be here in time for Christmas... it isn't... I have nothing. They should not make such bold statements as:

"We have undertook a final dispatch today using Royal Mails recorded and guaranteed next day Packet Post delivery service - if you are one of the few who are yet to receive your character he will be arriving tomorrow morning."

    Even worse:

"Please (please!) don't worry if he hasn't yet arrived, delivery is guaranteed for xmas and we've just the final few to dispatch now for the big day."

This is clearly not true! This is false information!

They are imposible to contact for any explanation, it's an absolute disgrace. I am very upset as even thought it was relatively cheap, it was one of the main presents. This company is a farce and I shall be reporting them to trading standards for false advertising and I recommend that nobody touch them with a barge pole. Disgraceful way to treat consumers.

that was a quote from your company, yes?

I received this email on 29 December 09. Again a complete pack of lies which the company will no doubt refute. Personally if i do not get the toy by 05 Jan 10 I will be paying these people a visit. Direct action is the only way to deal with these crooks. Anyone wish to join me?

    Hello.

I'm so sorry you've not received your knitted character.

I will escalate this for you in addition to having a character sent recorded guaranteed next day delivery tomorrow, refunding your original order and also checking with Royal Mail the whereabouts of your package.

Again, the sincerest of apologies. Should you wish a personal response, please forward me your telephone details and my colleague will call you personally.

    Hope this helps.

    All the very best :o)

    Sally.
