I came across this thread while my boyfriend and I were trying to get some background information as to why the knitted character he ordered for me for xmas on 5/12 hadnt arrived. I just dont think that its very fair that you are offering to give someone a knitted character for free and send it special delivery when I have been patiently waiting for the one my boyfriend paid for a month ago. Does anyone agree?
100% agree, I thought the exact same thing. I understand why they offered it, but it is just rubbing it in.
I have just been promised a refund, I suggest you pursue the same.0 -

These small number of customers were in receipt of the product as electronic signatures were produced.
So why did you tell us all in 2 automated emails that our KC's would be/had been posted by Royal Mails recorded and guaranteed next day packet post delivery service on the 21st December and that they would be with us on Tues morning. When in fact you were just using normal first class post?
I, and others have the emails to prove that this is what you told us.

As before, as an individual who had not and has not ordered a knitted character, it would be of great benefit for you to email us your address in order that we may send the product FOC to chiefly address your concerns and offer an opportunity for you to both witness and appreciate the product.
This will be sent via the next day delivery service as opposed to Royal Mail 1st class as this will enable us to track and trace, then verify the electronic signature produced on day of your receipt.
Thank you.
generous offer but wasted on me as i have no interest in the product0 -

There is one question you are avoiding answering:
Why are you saying only a small number of people were sent the email regarding guaranteed post when in fact all of us were sent this?
You are doing yourselves no favours by not being completely honest. Your emails DID say the characters were being sent guaranteed registered next day post and the fact is they weren't.
Another question would be in this case, why did you charge nearly £5 for a simple first class delivery? Surely for such a light item that £5 would cover the cost of next day delivery? It can't have been packaging as you yourself stated that the items were simply sent in a bag.0 -
exacty i have emails to prove that my knitted c was being posted out on monday by royal mail next day service, WHERE IS IT i have emailed them several times, 16th, 18th, 23, 30th STILL NO KNITTED C, i have even emailed them since three times still not responding, I WOULD LIKE MY SO CALLED TRACKING NUMBER as i was one of the ones that was still waiting up until last posting day, too busy giving themselves praise who no-one believes.
TRY DEALING WITH THE UPSET CUSTOMERS WHO ORDERED ON 1ST DEC FIRST BEFORE OFFERING FREE KC'S TO OTHERS, THAT IS AN INSLUT TO INJURY.0 -

Hello - automatic emails sent upon ordering state 1st class delivery for xmas. Only a small number of packages were sent special delivery (at considerable cost and administrative cost to ourselves) - those sent special delivery were in answer to any personal emails sent after Royal Mails 1-2 day delivery window for 1st class of 21/12/09. These were sent special delivery in order to hamper any disappointment in the few customers who contacted us after 21/12/09.
We would like to think, unlike the many companies on MSE who have chosen to offer no comment for undelivered xmas items, that we are conducting an at least professional and, at most, dilligent service by addressing individual concerns using such a public forum as MSE. However, it has become apparent that our efforts are perhaps better directed toward what has been and will continue to be, chiefly, the dispatch of the few customers who have not yet received their knitted character.
In this respect, and toward this end, this will be our final post whilst we designate our efforts with the dispatch and delivery team to identify and resolve any outstanding order issues.
Thank you for the input offered and again for your continued patience whilst we work exhaustively toward resolution.

Apart from the fact this company are posting in breach of MSE rules, I've ignored it up until now as they have been trying to help customers. As they are now using MSE to promote the company this is a big no no. You need authorisation from MSE to post in representation of your own company.
P.S The hundreds of emails you refer to are more likely from people asking where there dolls are and did Dan send any of the thank you quotes you have posted earlier?
Hi - the testimonials have been removed in the post at our own discretion following your comments.

But that is simply a lie.
On 21/12/09 I got the following email, and I had not contacted you at all:
Phew!
We've now dispatched every knitted character ordered before 10/12/09.
We have undertook a final dispatch today using Royal Mails recorded and guaranteed next day Packet Post delivery service - if you are one of the few who are yet to receive your character he will be arriving tomorrow morning.
Thanks again to those who have sent us terrific thank you xmas cards over the past couple of days and for the lovely comments we've received since we started knitting - its really appreciated and its been of terrific support during this incredibly busy period.
The warmest xmas regards from all the knitted team and thank you so much for your patience.
We hope you enjoy your knitted character as much as we have creating him)
Recorded and guaranteed post? That would come with a tracking number, so why are you unable to supply this number to anyone that asks? The answer is that you sent the items first class at best, and this is by no stretch of the imagination a 'recorded and guaranteed next day' service?
The second question, again ignored, is this: If you only ever intended to send the majority of items by first class post, why did you charge nearly £5 for postage? How much can the item have actually cost to send? £1.00 maximum I would have thought, so that seems a nice bit of profiteering at £4 extra profit per item.
Explain please. And please be honest and don't just repeat the same old line about only a few customers getting the email etc etc. We already know that's just not true!0 -

Why do you insist on lying about the emails sent? We are not talking about the ones sent upon ordering, we are talking about the newsletter type ones sent on 17th December titled Hello - a quick delivery update

Please (please!) don't worry if he hasn't yet arrived, delivery is guaranteed for xmas and we've just the final few to dispatch now for the big day.

These emails led us to believe that our knitted characters had been posted by special delivery when they had not.DFW £11,086.35 (Apr 09) £629.35 (Jul 10):jproud to be dealing with my debts0
