  • worriedsik - single/lonely parents sort of thing?

pookie - I REALLY hoped when ds went to school and dd started pre-school that I might have some luck. However, uni/work meant I don't take them as often as I like, and as it turns out they've all been friends years and miraculously had kids together. ARGH!!! The joys of a small town!
nope....................nothing to do with parents...yes we maybee parents but lets get away from that...lets be indaviduals yeh ?

Gumtree has a part of in for dating/relationships - be warned though, in my part of the country it's fairly hard-core - all about sex parties and one night stands!

Oh my  um, well I'll look! :D To be honest, I don't like being single, but I have matured in the last few years. I know it's better to be single than in the wrong relationship, which is why I've ended relationships since my marriage for the right reasons, at the right times. I miss companionship though, when I was with my husband granted the relationship wasn't working but I had my friends also, and right now I feel like I don't have either. Maybe I'm coming across as needy. I'm not sure. I'm not an easily 'emotional' person however, I'd be surprised if people did see me like that.
  • lets just be people who are lonely, have not much money, i think we may be sexist and be woman !!! yikes lol iam in trouble now eh
are differant in that we dont want to go to bloody night clubs !

  • choille - I have been thinking more and more about driving. It was relegated to the 'lose weight' 'handmake all christmas gifts' and 'learn to knit' list but I think it needs to be prioritised.

Worriedsik - we only have a bus 3 times a week & the times are a bit weird.
I've allowed myself to be ferried about by OH so haven't made an effort - really.

I'm feeling all a bit useless, so learning to drive would really give me a new lease I think.

This may be financially impossible, but is there any possibility of moving out of the small town? You clearly don't like it, and it doesn't sound like it's convenient to live there either, as you have such a long commute.

Some people might class this as running away from your problems, but I don't see what's necessarily wrong with that. Besides, I've never been so miserable as when I lived in a tiny everybody-knows-your-business place. When I eventually moved back to a city, life got so much better that my face hurt from the unaccustomed smiling.
