So... I went out with a friend from uni tonight, to the movies n he came over to play some playstation.
20 minutes after he left - 'been meaning to ask for months, do you want to go out on a date?'
So as someone I was talking to put it, guess I might still have a tiny bit of mojo left. But regardless, none of these people are right, and as already proved I'm not in the right place to date anyone so...
Wasn't a Saturday in for a change though!
How did everyone else's saturdays go?
They are a good bunch. They have to look after me :rotfl:
Well, maybe you could try the date....just don't look at it as anything too serious? Beats being stuck at home and you could always tell him that it's a date for fun?
Forget Saturday, today (Sunday) first proper date for 18 years after 2 failed relationships with daughters Mothers (who are no longer around out of their own sorry choice)
Anyway - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=27612489&postcount=10873 - saves me typing it out again.
Hope you manage to get another Saturday out of the house :T0 -
Sorry, I haven't read all your postings, but would just like to say how I coped being on my own, like you I felt so sad and alone, money was tight, friends would be out with there partners and no one really had time to talk anymore. My DS wanted to have a go at Archery when he was 8, a local club had an 7 weeks beginners course starting for £20 per person, we joined had lots of fun and I also met another mum who was single and her son , she was a few years younger than me, both our sons started talking, they got on well, and we kept in touch, that was about 2 years ago and we are still firm friends and have had a few cheap nights out with other single mums, my ds also wanted to do roller skating at our local Leisure Centre, it turned out it was a roller disco that started at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on a Saturday, it was £2.50 to skate incl the hire of the skates, (they also do a £10 card which entitles the kids to swim, skate etc for a whole month at no extra cost) I met other single mums there and some who are married but we meet up each week for a coffee and a chat while the kids have fun.0
