The limit is 40gb, doh!!!
that must be because you cannot get Tiscali line rental in your area? I'm sure BT line rental is closer to £12 now though, it's been a while since it was £10.50 (correct me if I'm wrong!)0 -
You are right, BT line rental is £11.54pmGoogle gives you answers use it.........0

can I just ask... if 40gb not much then? I really don't have any clue about such stuff. We have 2 laptops in the house, both are on pretty much every evening and most of the weekend.0

I really want unlimited and it seems it is only Virgin can do this for £24 for me (im my area) including line rental. This is 77p more than talk talk but unlimited.
My head is spinning, what to do..............Google gives you answers use it.........0 -
I wonder why when I look at Talk Talk page through Tiscali it says that 0845 numbers are charged separately and not included in the free talk time, but if I go to the Talk Talk website sales page, it says they are included plus they are giving free connection (£29.99).
So am I right in thinking, if I click through to 'upgrade' on my Tiscali account, I will get exactly the same package £18.48 for line rental, evening and weekend calls, but I won't get free connection or the free 0845 numbers?
To be honest, I'm a bit reluctant to call the sales line, cos the last time I did (about 2 years ago) purely to ask about the line rental, they just went ahead and put me on it, although I had NEVER actually agreed to that (after a few calls it was taken off and they even dropped my plan charge from £12.99 to £9.99).0 -
From what I understood and they will confirm this when you call for the MAC code you'll need if or more likely when you leave leave and to do so as soon as possible as it takes a while to come through and then to be changed over (prob 5-10 working days).
***ONCE CHANGED OVER CALL TALKTALK TO CONFIRM CHANGE OVER DAY!***
This should all be done automatically without the hassle to you but obviously they will then charge the customers who don't notice or keep the money from the ones who just don't want the hassle of jumping through their hoops!
Since hearing of OfCom or whatever they are called now are powerless in my opinion, an example would be people in Hull who have their own telecom system (no BT lines!) with their own internet ASDL provider which are the same company despite 'the split' in name. Basically the comms company keeps prices high for external ISP's to prevent any competition with the 'other ISP company'... monopoly and mergers lovely jubley, ofcom says everything is fine... nothing to see here...0 -

the rates for new customers are far better than what is offered for Tiscali customers. I wonder if you could just 'leave' Tiscali and rejoin Talk Talk with their good rates?0 -
If you have line rental with Tiscali it will cost u £40 to switch to Post Office!
How come the post office can migrate the phone line and broadband (for a fee) but orange can't?
Can someone explane how to get my phone line rental off tiscali without being stuck with BT for 12 months?0
