No, afraid not. The exchange only serves about 800 premises so change in the short term is very unlikely.
Have you looked at Plusnet Value? If the 10Gb cap is not a issue then it's £11.99 on an M1 exchange. Add line rental and Anytime calls and it should be around the same as TT.
Add in 3m @ £5.99 and Quidco and your first year cost comes down a bit more.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
You can't possible be paying only £3 for line rental-which is this other company you refer to? What tariff are you on?
LR is invariably about the same as BT: £11.49pm.
I don't want to name the company - they have obviously made a mistake somehow and I'd be a bit silly to alert them to it, wouldn't I? However, I can assure you that since April my phone bills have ranged between £1.92 and £4.41.:rudolf: Always skip and eat your peas :rudolf:0 -
I've just had the Talk Talk letter..they want to put up my Tiscali contract from £19.99 to £22.48 in Feb just for the hell of it.
I am not getting anything extra for the increase and already have line rental with them.
Someone says OFCOM have given this the OK..........but why??.....I have not come to the end of my contract yet and have fully complied with it and yet it seems Talk Talk can break any contract terms when they feel like it:mad:
What is to stop TT putting up monthly prices anytime they feel if you stay with them
Very shoddy but typical of how the consumer is shafted in the UK:mad:

I doubt if they'd have time to check every account holder just because you mentioned their name on this forum...assuming they read it.
But if they've made an error, then sooner or later they'll pick ity up and back bill you anyway. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I don't understand why so many people are getting worked up about Tiscali's new pricing policy. They clearly want to get rid of low-margin non-LLU customers. So why not help them do so-and leave without penalty, as you are entitled to do?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I received the letter today. My monthly bill will go up from £9.99 to £14.99 from 14th Feb. At the moment I have BB and weekend calls from Tiscali. I knew it was a good deal, so I just stuck with it. I've been with Tiscali for years, don't think I'm tied to any contract. BT have been calling me about every month for ages, trying to get me to take my calls back to BT. I wonder what TalkTalk would charge me for pure BB and no calls if I did?0

In mid February I shall be automatically put onto a Talktalk package which is exactly the same only with a 40GB cap. They are going to up the cost to £18.49 a month.
So I shall be paying more for less.
I phoned customer services and asked them if they could transfer me to the Talktalk essentials package as this also costs 18.49 a month but comes with free local calls, free router and free 0845/0870 numbers.
I was told I would have to leave Tiscali (who I thought no longer existed) and migrate to TalkTalk. This seems very strange.
So tomorrow I shall phone and request a MAC code and start shopping around. I think a stumbling block will be the fact I have a Tiscali line and not a BT line. That's why I thought a move to a current TalkTalk package would be a simple option.
Has anyone else had this letter and feel like they are paying more for less.
I had the same letter yesterday and after ringing them and being sent from department to department i was told either pay the new price or leave.
So i'm looking for a new ISP0 -
Same here £9.99 to £14.99.
Limited to what I can get where I live (512k) , had a quick look but nothing no deals jumping out.
What deals are you all looking at? feel like leaving them just in principle.Google gives you answers use it.........0 -
I just had a look around. Am I missing something because as far as I can see, the Talk Talk evening and weekend calls, line rental and BB at £18.38, seems to be a real bargain?
At the moment I pay £9.99 to Tiscali for BB and free weekend calls (not evening), plus line rental to BT. Got letter to day same package, going up to £14.99 next month.
Surely I should go for the whole package with line rental? It is an 18 month contact.
If I am missing the point, please enlighten me...0
