Thanks. Have you had experience of these? We were gutted, as it would make it a very expensive meal!! I know they send out solicitors letters etc as I've seen them at work, and they are very good at scaring people.
Knowing my luck, all this would go pear shaped and I'd end up paying a fortune x 2!!
We have all had experience of fake PCNs, ignoring them and living to tell the tale - it's such a shocking scam of threats and made-up demands, that's why we are here now, to help others see the con for what it is!
Read the 'sticky' threads called 'welcome, please read before posting' and 'PPC letters, what to expect'. Make sure you and you partner both watch the Watchdog clip on one of those stickies:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.php?f=163
Bottom line = this is a con, nothing more. The fake PCNs you have there are certainly not fines.
Ignore the letters, DO NOT APPEAL, but read the forum stickies I mentioned first. Then read any other private parking co (PPC) thread that catches your eye on the link to the whole forum view - you will see a pattern with the advice given every single day on here.
It's just a game of playing snap with each scary letter that matches our sticky info - see which of you gets the most letters, who will win?! It's all a game once you know it's a scam that has no effect on your credit ratings. Been there, done that myself.
Oh, and welcome to MSE, you just dodged a SCAM.:T

Saying you know what they do, and then saying you might end up losing a fortune x 2 is bizarre.
If you do know how they work, then you would know that you won't end up paying anything much at all....so you must be wrong.
Even if you lost at court, you'd still not owe them a fortune.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
It will go up to the £100+ plus mark if you DO PAY IT.
they are scammers who will claim your payments arrived late and impose a further late payment charge, then another and another until you do stop paying, each late payment charge will incur the same threats as the first flyer they put on the car.
So pay up by all means, but dont think for one second that will be the end of the matter, it will be the start of it.
This is where the school bullies went when they grew up and if you give them your wages, they will come back for more.
Those that do pay have to ignore them in the end, those that do it from the first day, get the same treatment as those that pay, but they get to keep their money they worked for.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Well, my daughter's had another ticket from Excel (see post 33 for first ticket - which she DIDN"T pay). Cut a long story short, we didn't pay the first 'fine' (no consequences) and have no intention of paying the second 'fine' (she actually had a valid ticket which she showed the parking attendant at the time and has kept). I've had a number of phone calls from Graham White over the course of the past few weeks asking if they can speak to my daughter. It's always the same routine: I say "No", they ask if I'll pass on a message, I say "No, put anything you have to say in writing", to which they reply "It's a serious situation, we've written a number of times" etc, to which I reply "In that case maybe you'd like to write again". I usually quite enjoy these little chats but when I told the last little scrote that phoned that I'd like to speak to a real solicitor not someone from Roxburgh he said said I was not entitled to discuss the matter on my daughter's behalf. When I told him that in that case he should not be discussing my daughter's business with me in the first place as legal matters are confidential, he hung up on me. I had three silent phone calls last week. I redialed the number and yes, it was Graham White. I guess they must have made a note on their system not to speak to a stroppy male.
I'm REALLY upset - still, there's always the probability that we'll have another nice little chat in the near future.
As everyone else on here has said time and time again - DON"T PAY!0 -
Just get any female to come to the phone as 'your daughter', and tell them 'the alleged debt is denied and to cease all contact' by phone and letter immediately as it is harassment and against the OFT debt collector guidelines. Say they will be reported if Roxburghe or their alter ego Graham White contact her AT ALL. Tell them to return the file to the originator.
Phone down, job done.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I said something similar to that when she had her first ticket but they still phoned back a couple of times. It was different the first time around because it was a little intimidating but, to be honest, now I know it's just a scam I don't mind answering the phone to them because I can have a little fun with them by being belligerent. In my last post I didn't mean I was upset over the calls, just upset that the caller hung up when he knew he was fighting a losing battle. If they phone again asking for my daughter I think I'll say "One moment", leave the receiver off the hook and walk away. The more money they waste on postage and phone calls the better!0

Or next time they phone and you answer and they ask to speak to your daughter tell them it is she they are speaking to. When they query the deep voice explain it is to do with the hormone tablets you are taking:D"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Good one!
When we used to get unsolicited calls before we joined the TPS, I always used to just say 'yes, speaking' when they asked to speak to my husband! There would be a sharp intake of breath and sometimes a repeat of the demand to talk to Mr Coupon-mad.
I would assure them that I was indeed he, and make them go through their rubbish. Then I would clearly tell them where to go, 'we're with the TPS (well we were planning it), stop harassing me' etc. It was better than saying he was out as you know that always means yet another nuisance call later.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
