I phoned up "Graham White"/Roxburgh today to ask them about the infamous "CPR 31.16 " wording found in some of their letters. Unfortunately the guy who answered would not take the conversation further until I gave in a reference number. I told him I wasn't talking about a specific case but this was a general query regarding that wording. But he wouldn't budge. I then asked him if he was a solicitor, but he just mumbled something about being a solicitor's clerk and then hung up on me.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • hello today i recieved a parking ticket, but like a stupid person i appealed then afterwards got onto this forum, it was excel in stockport retail centre, iwent into toys r us and spent £80 i didnt even know it was a pay and display, the question i am asking is even though i have appealed (giving them my name address, and basically admitting i am the driver) i still want to ignore the !!!!!!s, would you still advise to ignore given the information i have given them ????

Was this the Peel Centre by any chance? If that is the case are you sure that the ticket was from Excel rather than VCS? (They are, of course companies from the same stable).

Have a read of this newspaper report about that very car park - here
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Read some other threads, not just this one. Every second person asks 'but I appealed first, can I still ignore the scam?'

    YES.

I wonder? Ignore it would be the obvious answer!

Sorry but PLEASE read the sticky threads at the top, it's what they are there for! You want 'PPC letters, what to expect' and 'welcome, please read before posting' (!!!):

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

Just play snap with the letters, they are nothing, there will be no Court, no CCJ, no bailiffs. PLEASE read the forum stickies. Once you have read up on the current threads and seen the Watchdog clip, you will understand about this scam. This is just an old thread, you need the current info on this board not some random thread you found.

I wonder if they have resigned the Peel Centre car park. Not that it makes a difference, but they fell at the first hurdle last time!

For the sake of clarity you mean re-signed [new signs] as opposed to resigned [stood down].
