I am a sad individual and i know i need to get a life. I have just read all 19 pages of this thread and i have to say that i found it quite entertaining!
Ive been worrying about debt etc lately and this has made me smile-so thanks.
Only thing is, i have never had one of these 'parking tickets' but would love one just so i can have some amusing banter with the 'debt collectors' but especially the 'solicitors'
Told you i was sad!0 -

Not at all.
I think collecting a full set of tickets and letters from every PPC is the same as train spotting or collecting star wars cards.
Ive got a fair collection, but im always looking for new ones.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. If any Parking Pirates have a problem with my post then contact me for my solicitors address.*****0 -
You are not that sad. When I get bored I go out and see if I can collect a ticket or two. The only way you could be accused of being sad is if you have failed to get one, seeing as it's sooooo easy!0

Its a bit like fishing, you lay the bait (park the car) then retire to a distance to see if a ppc goon nibbles..........**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. LY,
you don't even have to park. One of their goons once told me that to if I was waiting the wheels would have to be moving. I reported that muppet to the store and ruined the manager's day.0 -
You lot make me laugh. I am now on the look out for car parks run by Excel. I will, of course, buy a ticket but will park in 2 spaces and overstay.
Watch this space.....0 -

Tsk...tsk...norty - but as long as it's a fairly empty car park so you are not annoying any genuine people then sod 'em, the scammers deserve a bit of baiting!
:TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

After trying to buy a ticket from 3 machines - all out of service for whatever reason, in Stockport (Peel), I was on my way to the fourth machine, in pouring down rain, with a broken foot (no cast and is safe to drive just slow walker and with walking aid!) - and I was issued a Parking Charge Notice, by Excel Parking Services Limited.
I could see the man doing something at my car, so I presumed I was being ticketed and returned to my car, feeling sick with worry, without then buying a ticket - and left the car park.
The ticket is completed with a 15 minute difference between been 'seen' and being 'issued'.
I saw the guy as I drove into the car park - I wasn't ignoring him or trying to dodge the parking fee!
I know all the threads are saying ignore ignore ignore - but this has really scared me. I was thinking of just appealing, within the stated 14 days.
No rational person can expect someone with a broken foot and using a walking aid, to walk to 4 different machines, drenched through, within 15 minutes, surely?
And I am sure the notices dont say you only have 15 minutes to obtain a ticket?
I did speak to an attendant, who said it was nothing to do with them and to go back in the morning for 7:45 - which I did, but no one turned up and I waited an hour.
I haven't slept properly in 5 days because of this - please helpshould I at least appeal, so even if they take me to court I have some evidence that I havent ignored the fine? IS it a valid fine? Will it affect my credit rating if I don't pay?
Any advice is appreciated - thank you.0
