I got one of those. Genuine. They took me to court and won.

How well did you defend it? Forum assisted court cases almost always turn out successfully defended.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Not from 2009 you didn't..!
  • Parked in one the car parks in darlington for 3 days came back to a parking ticket.
I had displayed it on the windscreen but came back to a parking ticket and they said they couldn’t see the ticket as it was upside down so either I did put it upside down by mistake or when I shut the car door the draft from the door put it upside down , I contacted them and they said pay £60 or go to court , so paid it , just easier but hate to think they have won again , something should be done about this type of thing!!!!!!

You never had to pay it. WHY do people pay?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I’ve recieved what looks like be start of court proceedings against me from excel parking services baby company VCS.

WHAT DO I DO? Reading lots of “don’t pay it - ignore it” advice but I’ve done that so far and they seem to be escalating matters :(

PhilManc, you need to be reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

Then if you still have questions please start a new thread.
  • Do not listen to other advice. You WILL receive a CCJ. I have received one today. You will not be able to ignore it.

You can do something about it and, just because you received one, doesn't mean others will. Why are you posting on someone else's thread, particularly one that was started in 2009 and has been hi-jacked by so many other posters - now including you!
