  • have ignored a parking fine since August which was issued by excel parking, in media city Salford quays which is now £180. I revived a letter from a solicitor to say it has now been passed to them and failure to make payment may result in them passing the matter over to litigation department! Help? It's stressing me out but I definitely cannot afford that over Christmas! Do I ignore? Is there a way out? I do not have the original letter as I thew it away alls I have is this one from the solicitor.

You don't seem to be getting the hang of this. Please open a brand new thread of your own AFTER reading and digesting the NEWBIES FAQ sticky - that's the other thread you just posted all over!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Hi guys I have read the above comments ref Excel parking. I have ignored my parking fine from November 2015, however this morning (August 16) I received what looks like to be a court letter at the top saying 'claim form'. It looks genuine but I can't be sure? Address which says the fine is payable to is BW Legal, Leeds. Which with some research looks like a 'dodgy company'. Please advise on what action to take?

    Please start your own thread.

If this was from BW Legal, you are not alone. Read some of the threads on here and peppipoo with BW Legal in the title, digest, and then post your sorry tale in a new thread.

  • I got taken to court by Excel Parking Ltd. They managed to get nearly a grand out of me, which I'm still paying off. I ignored every letter they sent to me, then I got a court summons.

What has this got to do with a ten year old pre PoFA thread?

Ignoring has not been advised here since the law changed in 2012. You are now too late for anyone here to help you.
