Hi All
I have had a parking ticket from Excel parking services limited.
I had only been at my new job 2 week when I got the charge, I had a permit however I had not had a chance to secure it to the window yet and as I opened the door it must have slipped out of view.
I received the charge and appealed it and sent them a photo of the permit. My point was that I had no reason to illegally park as I had a pre-paid permit. I never heard anything back and thought the issue had gone away. This charge was the start of April 2014.
Since them I have moved address and around a week ago I received a letter from a debt collection agency regarding this charge (which has gone up in price) I phoned them and told them I thought the appeal had gone through and that this charge had gone as I had not received anything. She got in touch with the excel and they have basically said I would need to prove I didn't receive anything from them (how?!) I never signed for any letter or anything!! and that I can't even pay the reduced original amount I have to pay it in full or in four monthly instalments.
Please help I haven't got that sort of money. I know people have said ignore them to other posts but I haven't ignored them so can I now or what do I do? They are threatening court and the woman advised me that excel parking have the highest record for taking people to court over these fines.0 -

My advice (not advise!) is that to get the best service on here you should always start your own thread. It's that simple! What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
But you don't have to be rude about it. Oh and I do apologise so much for the typing error. I will go stand in the corner. You really need to get a life, if you don't want to offer help then don't post just to be nasty.0

We do want to offer advice, but if you had read the posts just above yours you would have seen this :-
Please just click off this ancient old thread, one click to page one of the forum. [/B] Please read 'Private parking Ticket? Newbies please read this first!' which is a sticky info thread permanently 'stuck' near the top. Don't start a new thread please without reading the info threads at the top first.
You are ONE click away from page one (see the black words in my signature below, for where to click in the breadcrumb trail blue link at the top of this very page, to get to page one).
Or use 'Forum Jump' and click GO.
Do not start a new thread without reading the stickies or we can't help...

I have read the 'Private parking Ticket? Newbies please read this first!'. however I have already responded to them so none of the information seemed to apply to my situation.
I am pretty sure some nice people out there can help me if they choose to without making it more difficult or getting me to jump through hoops to do it. I am nearly at breaking point with my stress levels today and the last thing I need are people giving me a hard time for trying to ask for help on a website.0 -
just stick to your own thread and you will be fine
hijacking somebody elses thread is considered bad practice and you would not like it if your thread was now hijacked in this way, plus we would admonish those who did it to you so dont take it personal
read those sticky threads he pointed you at (in your own thread) and dont reply in this one anymore, showing respect to the person who posted it
its the person who posts a thread that needs help , so because its free to start a new thread, please stick to your own from now on
newbies like yourself need the explanations, so you start in the correct manner , even if it sounds harsh
thank you0 -

You don't need a Phd - but you did clearly confirm that you had read and understood the basic posting guide as part of your signup.
It tells you all about stickies and why you shouldn't hijack threads.
So it is pretty reasonable for people here to assume you will act in accordance with it.0
