Morning :) ... Got housemate's birthday cake finished last night ... we both had a slice and it was yummy ... Sorry am not joining in the FLC but am working full time and out every evening (intending to have a blitz at the start of next week though, as am off work) ... Feel strangely hung over this morning despite no alcohol yesterday  ... must just be a bit dehydrated ... Off this evening to an opera at Holland Park which is a lovely venue despite the background noise (you get noisy peac0cks squawking in the background, kids playing in the park, plus it's directly under the Heathrow flight path :rotfl:) and the show we (XBF and I) are seeing has had good reviews ... Will probably stay the night at his as it's close by and I can't be @rsed to spend over an hour getting home :o ... Should be quite moneysaving as you can take your own wine ;) ... Anyway hope you're all OK and I'll try and pop back on later ... Rzl xx

    Morning all
What a mad morning, dd 7 yo threw a tantrum and left late for school, instead of telling me her dress had a button missing went into full blown paddy mode, so I ended up shouting and now feel guilty, she can can be such a monkey before school at the momment. I am going to go and talk to her teacher after school as I am sure there is more to it than what she is letting on.
Lots to do today, need to pop into town and get some more trousers( am not going to go into very embarressing story of why I need another pair, Lets just say had to phone dp and get him to bring me another pair, while I was at mums and tots yesturday.):o :o:o:o :rotfl:
I will join you on the fly lady challnge as my roitines have gone to pot since I moved here and the place is a tip from top to bottom, I am slowly de junking , but need to do it a bit quicker.
    To do today

    - wash up
    - mend kitchen drawer
    - clean kitchen floor
    - hoover lounge and clean rug
    - tidy and clean bathroom
    - tidy hallway and computer desk
I think that is enough for now.

I have nearly finished decorating the lounge now, just need to put up a cople of shelves and It will be done:j Does look rather nice now, even if I say so myself, will have to post some before and after photos me thinks.
Have also nearly finished my herb garden, all the hard work of clearing and digging has been done, and have put in most of the herbs, just a few more I need to get.
Right better go and get started on that list.
    Hugs to all

    Hi,

Are we using this as the new thread?

All the other girls on the Day 1 thread will get very confused.

Could someone leave a note as a pointer to here... (not very good at all this computer lark)

    Ta.

Scared - this is just the Daily thread and reminder that this is the Flylady challenge week, you post your Flylady updates on the Flylady thread.

I got a bit confused too! I also wonder whether we should be advertising someone elses website so much on Martins site? I am personally not a Fly lady fan as you can probably tell but I really enjoy reading the daily thread sorry if I have offended anyone I will close the door on the way out:o

    Morning folks,

I haven't been feeling too bright over the past couple of days, all aches and pains, to the pt that I went to bed on Sunday at 16:00 and got up on Mon at 14:00. This morning I am feeling brighter but still not right, my glands are right up.

However, on a more positive note - this morning I got up with DD at 7:00 and so far have hung 3 loads of washing out and another is in the w/machine :j . The :j is because on Saturday DH and I shovelled a lot of sand (and I mean a lot!) in order to find the space where my whirlygig washing line should be put up! It has been hidden by this pile of sand since last August, which has meant I've only had one washing line, which in the Winter is not too bad, but in the Summer is frustrating!

D/W been unloaded / reloaded. Kitchen started to be cleaned down.
Downstairs loo cleaned including cleaning the floor. Freezer been sorted out, stew dug out for tea tonight. DD been despatched to playgroup ... and now I'm sitting down with a blueberry muffin (HM) and a cup of coffee ... phew.

Right, DD is at playgroup until 11:30 (11.15 to go pick her up), home for lunch, and then off to nursery. So I need to think of something constructive to do for myself today ... apart from read some more of the new Jilly Cooper my ma has lent me!!!

There's lots of things I "ought" to do, but today is about me having some "me" time. So, I'm determined not to "just" sort the house out. Hmmmm ...

    Have fun y'all.

Ouch Taplady, that's horrible - was it your fault or theirs because if it's their fault you could appeal?

Probably ours:o OH's income did rise, we did inform them and they dropped the amount of tax credit but then his income rose a bit more and we were stupidly slow in telling them:o so I guess its down to us. Never mind with help from this site I'm sure we can cut our expenses somewhere.

    morning all :hello:

day off today and starting my FLC

breakfast was my usual cereal but for lunch just having fruit and yoghurt as trying to eat healthier too
dinner will be pasta with a HM tomato/garlic sauce :)

I don't think there's any problem praising the FL site any more than other boards advise a particular bank/CC/ or site to by CD's from :)

I shouldn't think there's a problem Superstar, it's not a conflict of interest as Flying is not about moneysaving, just about cleaning and organisation, if there was a problem I'm sure someone would have let me know :)

It's okay if you don't like Flylady, it would be a poor world if we were all the same. It's like this site, I don't visit all of it and just pick and choose the bits I want to read :D
