    Morning all!!

Up and at em again today. You know you want to :D

I didn't sleep again last night, DH swears he is going to get me some of his herbal tablets. I don't know what's wrong with me, I used to sleep for England.

Onto the kitchen today for me, and hopefully fit in the dining room too as it's DD's birthday tomorrow, DH is going into town and picking up a few bits for me we shall see how it goes.

Morning all, sorry I couldnt join you all yesterday, pc was down, which meant I got more work done than expected :j
Didnt get started until 12 as I had to walk dogs in morning, got home about 10ish, had coffee, them daddy paid me a visit , so had another coffee with him, I cleaned the 3 bedrooms, washed and dried bedding, curtains and weekends clothes, got loads of ironing now but thats another story :rotfl: I also managed to paint upstairs door frames and skirts last night, which both dogs managed to sabotage, ready for new stair carpet being fitted on thursday, was supposed to be getting done on wednesday but OH forgot to confirm this with carpet fitter.
So today after packing OH and DD off to work/school. its walking dogs, this takes me about 2 hours, then will give paintwork another coat of paint before I start cleaning. I plan on cleaning bathroom and hall today, this shouldnt take me too long, but I've got DS off school with a broken toe, so I keep stopping to talk to him, hes got a geography project to do today, and he loves pointing out amazing facts, so this will hold me up a little bit, any excuse I know.
I've got chilli in frieezer for tonights tea, DD will have pasta, which she likes to make herself, she will also make extra for hers and daddies bait tomorrow, shes so good :A
I must admit I've only been cleaning, no sorting out for me, the whole family plan on pitching in next week and starting a mass sort out of cupboards and drawers, once the house is looking clean and tidy, hopefully this will work out better this way, as if the house is looking grotty, none of us feel inspired to do anything.
Good luck everyone with day 2, hope the sun keeps shining for you all.

    Good morning everyone:hello:

Well, washing is done & out, d/w is emptied & reloading started.
DH is mooching about, he doesn't have to go in until later than usual and doesn't know what to do. He is blaming me for waking him up, but he didn't have to actually get up just cos I did!!!!

DS is home from his weekend away, came back yesterday evening. He had a lovely time, but didn't bring back any photos of gannets, puffins etc. He informs me that he has a lovely picture of the boat's engines, though. Boys!

Yesterday was bathroom day. I am wondering which to tackle next. Ideally it should be the small spare room, as I have used that as a dumping ground for things I don't know what to do with. But I want to put off doing that one! Wonder why?????

    So.... decisions.....
....... I think I will make a start on it, even if I just do a couple of 15 minute bursts. I also want to get the kitchen floor washed & do a dust & vac downstairs. There is some shopping to get, & DS1 & his fiancee are coming to dinner tonight so that needs organising, too.
Oh, & DS2 has "school" work to be done, but I have already sorted most of that out this morning.

    Have a good day everyone!

nicki - if you are handy at sewing i can send you some links detailing how to make them into skirts - waste not, want not and all that jazz

Thanks, but I'm not a skirt person and the tear isn't too bad ;). The 1st pair that went I'll "adjust" to make some sort of apron for when I'm gardening and this second pair (I'm still wearing them today :o ) I can use for decorating pants since my others are falling off me when I try and wear them :D

Didn't get around to completing most of the jobs yesterday so I'm going to add them to my very small list of things to do today :
    • Finish scanning Bank/CC Statements ready to shred
    • Washing up
    • Laundry - as much as the weather will allow me to do as the forecast is 40% chance of showers later
    • DD's/Mbed/Livingroom - daily pick up
    • Inventory cupboards/fridge/freezer - gather bits for DD for school on Thursday for school fair on Friday ;)
    • Ironing.
Also have to fit in a quick trip to Matalan to get new jeans  Will do that straight from school, after a pit stop to hang the washing out.

Snowy - This is as good a day as any and start a new routine of giving the important bits a good swish around before I leave the room. Please explain :D :rotfl:

Hope everyone gets through their to do lists today. I know I have. :p Talk later. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all!

Havent been around for a few days due to work and also computer problems but I'm back now!:j

Had some bad news yesterday - our child tax credit was overpaid by £1500 and they're stopping it until its repaid! that means we're about £250 a month down:eek: so have got to tighten our belts considerably. Its back to the Grocery Challenge for me! have got to sit down and totally rebudget to see where we can make cuts.

On the plus side it's my 2 days off:D and am meeting Mum for a coffee(free!;) ) then later off to Morrisons with my elderly gent to get his groceries and a few BOGOFs for me!

B - muesli and skimmed milk
L - poached eggs on multigrain toast
D - spag bol and salad

Am back on the GI diet as much as possible as I have put nearly half a stone back on after working hard to lose over 1 1/2 stone last year:mad: so I'll be walking into town this morning, this means 1. exercise 2. saving on the petrol;)

DS1 has now finished his exams and has officially left school! makes me feel old!:o

Have a good day all and back later!

Right!! School run done and invitations handed out to DD's birthday tea tomorrow. We are going to get the chocolate fountain going so DH has gone to get copious quantities of chocolate plus wrapping paper for DD's present.

I'm off to get the kitchen started, it's normally pretty orderly as I do like a clean, well ordered kitchen so not too much to do there, I will try and get the dining room done too as that's where I want to have the mini party.

I also have presents to wrap, cards to write, trifle to make etc etc. Then I have to drop a CD rack off to DD1's, it's huge and very heavy so I'm hoping DH will help me get it into the car.

Ouch Taplady, that's horrible - was it your fault or theirs because if it's their fault you could appeal?

  • Hi,

Are we using this as the new thread?

All the other girls on the Day 1 thread will get very confused.

Could someone leave a note as a pointer to here... (not very good at all this computer lark)
