Hello everyone- I did 1/2 the bathroom yesterday- not very good:o . I knew it would be hard on the days I had DD at home. Also I had car in garage and needed lifts to and from and attend an adult learning class on a Mon PM. When I got car back, loose wheel nut  but no charge :money: . I wanted to take kids to buy DD some new shoes but when asking DS about it, apparantly it wasn't very fair after doing lots of hard work at school to expect him to go shopping:rolleyes: (he's 6- can't wait till he's a teenager!):D . So shoe shopping is where we have been this morning and also some clothes shopping as it came to light last week when sorting put kids wardrobes that DD has very few clothes that fit her still:eek: .
On the plus side today DD has now fallen asleep- so I can get on with stuff, but DH has mates coming round to watch footie so will have to be a general tidy rather than concentrate on one room. Roll on tomorrow when both kids are out of the way from 8am:rotfl:0 -
Nelski I am NOT going to flylady your house. I am going to go shopping and drink some wine
Same goes for you, TM! Nels - have a lovely time in Prague

Good afternoon all
Very sleepy this morning so didn't come on at all til now. Queenie, you'll be glad to know that the stain is almost all out! There's just a touch of cream on the shirt when I hold it up to the light...
I'm feeling very guilty at the moment, because I havent even made the bed. But on the plus side, I do have a HM rice pudding in the oven! I made my first ever one last night and liked it so much I decided to do another one today. Luckily I have plenty of stuff for it. OH doesn't like rice pudding, so all the more for me. He's gone out for the day so I might be able to get some cleaning done this afternoon when I finish w*rk at 4.
Breakfast was toast and marmite (no slippages today)
Lunch has just been the left overs of last night's curry and some strawberries and sugar
Dinner will probably be salad of some description.
Happy cleaning everyone! And hugs to anyone who needs one

Been shopping for new clothes
£78 in Matalan and then another £50 in Asda and thats just the clothing (Have bought summer clothing for all three of us though so if OH starts I'll just
) :rotfl:  Also bought a ironing hanging thing ( argos version ) but it cost me £15  (although it does work out the same price if I was to jump the bus to town to buy it from Argos
), a salad spinner from Aldi (I'm fed up with soggy lettuce), some new tumblers and lots of bits of groceries (cost of which I'll take of NEXT months grocery money
) so not too bad
:silenced::whistle:
Got 1 load of washing out on the line and about to swap it for another load (washed while I was out shopping) another load is already in. I had a lovely job this morning to do before I could put the washing out - some "darling" had thrown a FULL GLASS bottle of Fosters at the house  It had smashed all over the yard (including my plastic green house) and there is still broken glass everywhere, and a dent/scratches in the wood trim which go nicely with the chipped kitchen window from stones that have been thrown over the wall by the kids  Trouble is it's all little bits or down the back of some shelves I've made so I'm not happy.
Oh well, I better get on with jobs, loads of dishes to wash and I've still got to have my dinnerAt least I have my music (Starlight express ATM) to Boogie to :dance::dance:

Hi everyone!
Have managed to get the bathroom cleaned and all the small person's clothes sorted out into those he's outgrown and those that he's growing into. Hence one big pink charity shop bag full.
Will be having another reasonable busy day today as will not get home until 4.45 so will be a mad dash to get the veggie bake in and sort out the lunches. Am planning to seal the other half of the garage floor tonight and then finish it off at the weekend. After that I'll be repainting the shed, the gate and the garage door. The plan is that then I'll be ready to tackle the kitchen in the autumn which will be a BIG job [how splendid]
Mad fool that I am...I shall be getting up in time for a 5am walk tomorrow to see the sun rise..well it seemed like a good idea when I booked it in April. Ah well it's the Solstice and something to celebrate. Better find that bottle of red that I've squirrelled away. Any excuse for a Druid celebration!
Having carefully planned out my week in a typical Aril organised fashion I realised with horror this morning that we have friend's coming for dinner Fri night which I had completely forgotten about. We're having a meal of starters with each couple bringing two dishes based on a restaurant which does it in Edinburgh. Thought it would be different and a chance to try some different things.
I think that's enough of my meanderings for today

I never get to celebrate the summer solstice any more
How stupid was I having DD on that day.
Even my best friend said to me "Only you could manage to have her on the Summer Solstice"
Never mind, she'll probably follow DD1 and me into "ye olde religion"Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Just heard that Dad's gp can see me at 2.30 this afternoon to discuss his medical condition as she has just had a talk with him.
presume this means that he has agreed that I can be told the severity and prognosis of his condition.
Need to cancel his consultants appointment on Thursday as he is not well enough to go. Think we may need the hospice sooner than we had hoped.
Did some shopping but don't really have the heart to get much else done."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon all
No FLC for me today, been out shopping instead. Went to the Next clearance shop nearby and got DD's a pair of winter boots each, reduced to £4 a pair....:j
Came home to find out that my gran passed away last night....it's been expected but it would have to be this week!!! My parents are in Spain, they said before they went that if she were to pass away, there's nothing they could do and they'd rather not know until they return, fair enough, but now the rest of the family are wondering if they should hold back the funeral until they return.....how do I say "no - go ahead without them " without it sounding uncaring?
Must go get some pastry made for a quiche for tea - got 3 extra little ones to feed tonight before they go home so need to do something exciting with pasta for them.
Hope you've all had a productive morning."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
