Moggins - have just read about solstice - quite like the idea of kids putting food out for the fairies and leaving crystals as good luck for us humans.
I dont have any of those plants to make into a head dress for the FLC challenge tomorrow - will a knotted hanky with stick of lavender in it do??
Did you also about the females energies at this time of year - thats obviously why we are all doing the FLC!!!0 -
Lol - going to do my FLC with a knotted hanky headress and lavender stick tomorrow now Shez..... unless it's some kind of fertility thing? Certainly take more than that for me - needs a fella doesn't it? None of them can get through my front door with all this clutter .....
Sorry, it's getting late.... ***BLUSH***

Kaz, Shez, MP, hope you don't mind my pushing in.................
Been tossing and turning for an hour, so got up, with cup of tea and piece of DD's pink heart cake. Was only supposed to be tea, but the cake called to me! Friend's funeral is set for tomorrow. I need to get time off, but boss usually sympathetic.
Taplady, might just be worth a call to CAB re tax credits. It's been such a fiasco recently, that you might just be able to spread payments over a longer period. This was the subject of my TV interview last week, btw (professionally, rather than as a "victim"). Local paper now interested, and are doing a story. Shame they weren't interested last time we asked. Ooooh, just googled my name with "tax credit" and there I am, top story!!
Rzl, when I was a student, I saw As You Like It in Holland Park. Magical setting. Is the llama still there?
Moggins, DD has left food for the fairies. We had an overgrown shrubby area in our garden, which we left for the children to explore, make dens, etc. Children often saw fairies there, so we know where to look.
Happy Bday to you DD:bdaycake:
BTW, big cheer for starting FLC thread. It's making a difference in this house.:T :T :T :T :T
Frey, great idea for people to post photos of post FLC homes. I love to snoop round other people's gaffs.
Roz, your new flat sounds very swish. All memories of last one will be soon forgotten.
Poppy, well done on next gold star. :T :T Did you notice at what number of posts you got 2 stars? Looks like it might be 150. Only a few to go for me then!
Elona & Pooky, more ((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))))
Ausielass, was full of admiration for your commitment at making bread by hand in the middle of the night, then realised, middle of day for you. Still full of admiration, I mainly use B/M or DD to make bread by hand.
Hi to everyone else who's here today!
Have a great day, all.

Morning Penny and all those who follow...
Elona & Pooky - ((((hugs)))) from me too...
Had a bit of a rubbish day yesterday. OHs Nana who was diagnosed with lung cancer 6 weeks ago was taken back into hospital with a chest infection (less that 5hrs after being released ) and things really aren't looking too good. MIL* has gone up to stay with them for a few days leaving me to look after FIL and SIL and the house (FIL has renal faliure and after dialysis isn't usually up to doing anything so i've said I'll help out making sure there's food in and chores are done etc.) To be honest I don't mind helping out, I just with that SIL would help out a bit - she's 18 and works full time but still lives at home and does nothing  So I didn't get to do anything on my To Do list yesterday which leaves a double load of stuff for today...
Plus the England score - I had a £5 free bet on 2-1
Up early this morning as the birds seem to be unusually loud and active today - maybe something to do with the solstice?
Writing my To Do list on here where other people can see it helps me get stuff done so here goes:- Strip bed and tidy bedroom (when OH finally gets up - he's on a training day round the corner from where we're staying so has an extra hour in bed this morning!!
- Washing - 1 load of coloureds and 1 load of bedding
- Nip to the PO to post Amazon orders and new bank account application
- Locate a fruit & veg shop within walking distance
- Buy stuff from said shop to form a salad for tea
- Re-make bed
- Drive to OHs parents house 15miles away
- Check contents of fridge/freezer at OHs parents and restock as required
- Give OHs parents house a very quick once-over with a hoover and a duster
- Load OHs parents washing machine and instruct SIL to swap it into the TD when finished
- Oh, and I suppose I'd best get showered and dressed at some point too!! :rotfl:
Happy Summer Solstice to everyone!!
Roz x
*Note: where I've called them MIL FIL and SIL - I'm not married to OH but its easier to type that than OHs mum etc...0
