Hi
DS is at school, DD at nursery so have till 3.30 today to get things sorted:j .
Asked wrap around care to take DS for an extra session tomorrow so I can have an extended day till 5.30 to get on with things. He has never gone to after-school club before (only breakfast) and I need to see if he likes attending, as this will alter my plans for what I do next in relation to job-hunting/continuing with studies.
MIL made big curry last night for us to have at half-time and I'm so full still don't think I can eat anything all day-bet I do though:o
Right off to start- catch you all later.0 -

It sounds like you have a lovely OH.
I really wouldn't swap him for the world. I wonder how bad my previous life was to meet him in this one?
Getting frustrated being at work adn seeing all your TO DO lists!! Have to be in a meeting most of day  , but will do a list during the bits that I am not ahem, participating ! Have to think of a shorthand way of doing it so my colleagues on either side don't think I've flipped! e.g. shopping = purchasing :rotfl: Wonder what else I can come up with?
Hey ho, have to go, the meeting room beckons - wonder if they've got biccies this time? Will have to bake some and take them in for the next one:T
Hugs and High Fives to everyone as appropriateEverything in moderation..............including moderation..............0 -
Hi MushyPeasThe skirting boards are really dusty and dirty. What's the best way to clean them? When I've tried in the past all the dust just goes into little balls and then it's even harder to clean off!!
Just a suggestion - it's what I would try, anyway!0 -
Hello everybody ,
My bread was a success. :jI'm not that virtuous PenPen, it was called No Knead Oven Raised Bread.I also made a Spicy Bean & Lentil Loaf & some Lettuce & Pea soup. So I've had quite a busy day in the kitchen. All nice and healthy too.
Still raining here. DH has just left for work and I can hear DD clomping up the stairs now.
Queenie I'm glad you enjoyed your day yesterday. I was thinking of you.
I best go and sort out the tea and then I'm off for a bath & Snowy I'll make sure I give those important bits a real swish like you do.
Talk later. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all,
It's raining here so the washing mountain will decrease only slightly. Have to make biscuits for ds2 to take into his class tomorrow for his birthday - I refuse to go down the expensive chocolate bar route. Also need to make 2 batches of burgers for the Beaver BBQ tomorrow - PLEASE STOP RAINING:mad:
Alos the French student and I are going to tackle the ironong pile and I have to wash the kitchen floor (with the trusty Stardrops) as the dog had an enormous marrowbone yesterday - free from the butcher - and the floor is all greasy.
Spinach and ricotta cannelloni with tomato sauce for tea - dh has been away and he always craves pasta when he gets back.
School concert tonight - ds1 is playing the violin and ds2 the piano - I think they've only picked him for the cute factor - he's blond with huge blue eyes and at least 4 years younger than the other performers - so we will have to suffer his rendition of "Alouette" at high speed and very loud volume!“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Morning
... No formatting or paragraphs again  (VickyA, it's good to know I'm not the only one with this problem!) ... Will pop back tonight when I can type without rambling (LOL) ... just wanted to say ((hugs)) to elona and pooky ... Am at w**k today and have a singing lesson this evening ... Had a nice time at the opera at Holland Park last night with XBF (though it was very windy), and didn't spend any money on drinks
... PenPen, I don't think there's still a llama at Holland Park, just lots of noisy peacocks - there is of course a whole llama FARM next door to Glyndebourne, talk about from the sublime to the ridiculous! ... Stayed overnight at XBF's place as it's only half an hour's walk from Holland Park, we had spag bol for supper, he makes the most FAB bol sauce so have requested his secret recipe ... Will let you know if I hear from PP, though she's not been in touch for a couple of days so I assume she's been out enjoying herself ... See you later  ... Rzl xxx

More appropriate here than the Fly Lady Challenge .....
Spur of the moment decision & a job added to my to do list and completed within seconds :
I've just cut up my credit card AGAIN!
When the new one arrived (february this year) I decided to put it in a back pocket of my purse "just in case" since then our credit card has had £1700 put on it, not including what I've paid off it  That does include £175 insurance and £740 on a new computer, but thats still not good.
Guess who is going to be saving their pennies again
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
