Thanks for all your good wishes.
Have decided to try and get in touch with my parents and let them know, it just doesn't feel right not to, even if they can't get back for the funeral, I just don't feel right keeping it from them. I also want to know what they want to do about flowers or donation to charity, that's got to be their choice.
Only trouble is, now I've got to find them......neither of them took a mobile phone and I only know the flight numbers.......I'm off to phone some nice people at the holiday company they normally use, just on the off chance, failing that I'll be phoning Gatwick airport tomorrow to see what they can do.
TM - My DH does that all the time with the credit card, he put £450 worth of business expenses on the wrong card last month.......I very nearly shoved that card out of sight.....and it wasn't the back of the draw!!!!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
((((((HUGS)))))) Elona, just wanted to say that I am thinking of you as I know things are tough right now.
(((HUGS))) to Pooky too.
I am not joining in the flylady challenge this time as the builders are still in finishing off the conservatory, nearly done though!:D Just the electrics tomorrow and then a 6 week wait until the floor tiles can go down. I am enjoying reading the thread and hearing how others are doing. I do try to manage the shiny sink and get dressed so do I get any points for that Moggins?
I am now with the help of my occupational therapist pacing my day (it really helps my cfs symptoms) and have managed to work up to ironing 10 items a day! Also manage 3 hm meals so feel some achievement each day. Will get better when I have house to myself again.
Off to watch England in a minute with a nice cuppa!

Moggins - did you call your DD "Summer" by any chance then????
what do we have to do on solstice day? do our FLC in a druid costume?
N0 seriously, is there some sort of ritual thing in keeping with the earth nature?
LOL, no she's called Ceridwen meaning sacred poetry.
and here's a link to the information about the summer solstice, btw we don't try to convert so you're quite safe. :rotfl:

Goodmorning everyone,
You guessed it, just having my cuppa. DH got home about 1hr ago and is snoring soundly & DD left for work about 15 mins ago. It rained most of the night again but atm it's holding off. Very overcast still so it's still hanging around.
My thoughts to Pooky & Elona. ((((((hugs)))))))))
I love the name Ceridwen too. I also saw it in a book. I had all sorts of names picked out for DD but in the end called her Kellie Jean. My maiden name was Kelly & my Mum's name is Jean. So she had her Nana's name backwards. I didn't stick to right spelling as it looked a bit more feminine the other way.
TM I think most DH are similiar although yours hasn't got the lightbulb moment yet.Took mine ages too. Too many brain cells destroyed while younger. :rotfl:
Snowy Glad to hear that. Might start doing the same thing you know.

Most of my news is on the FLC thread, but wanted to pop on here and see how everyone else is and to say hello so hello everyone!
Just in case anyone pops back on here in the morning....
Moggins - hope DD's birthday goes well tomorrow. I love the name Ceridwen - wish her a happy birthday from me?
Chipps - glad your Ds enjoyed his trip. Looks like he took the nice weather back home with him as it's raining here now!
Aussie Lass - that cake sounds nice (Mind, if it's sweet I'll eat anything!) I have to admit that since I started making the banana loaf with wholemeal flour it's been 'regular' for me too IYKWIM...
Mp - hope you had a nice time with your friend.
Joannasmum - well done on getting that much done last night
Lol, just realised most of the green lights are out so I doubt any of you ar going to be reading this!!!
Anyway, on I go....
Spendless - half a bathroom means you've only half left to do. Better than doing nowt in my book.:T
scared-i-jellyfish - You and me both on the 'If I tell you guys I am doing a room, I have to do the job or I feel guilty.' It's certainly the extra kick/motivation I need!
Aril - your 'meal of starters' sounds really nice. I much prefer little bits of lots of things (which is why I love chinese and sushi). Hope it goes well for you.
Pooky - sorry to hear about your Nan. The same has happened a few times in our family, but fortunately those who were away were back in time for the funerals. Are they going to be away for much longer?
- Just read on and I see you're going to try to find them and let them know. I'm sure that they will be glad that you have.'Got home to find message from Flylady telling me to get dressed today. Why didn't she tell me that earlier I only laced my shoes, as getting dressed wasn't on my FL list for today.
Pen pen - you never cease to make me chuckle. Thanks hun x
Elona - Sorry to hear that your dad is so poorly, it must be so stressfull for you. (((Hugs)))
TM - I fully understand where you are coming from. My ex used to do the same sort of thing. I wasn't as patient/forgiving as you - hence the 'ex'
