  • Morning all

Didn't get online to post yesterday, busy all day, looking after DD and my 2 nephews. Today DD and I are going to the storytime at the library, then to Asda to do a big shop (i am down to a tin of chickpeas and a packet of cup a soup in my cupboard lol, i have to say the storecupboard challenge worked well, i have used everything else up!) then back home to make bolognese and shepherds pie to freeze then i have to take DD to dancing at 5.30pm, its a private lesson today - £11 for half an hour!!! But she has missed a few weeks due to me being ill and not being able to drive and she is dancing in the local carnival this Sunday so i want to make sure she is okay with all the routines.

Breakfast - Cereal and juice for DD, tea and toast for me
Dinner - probably a pastie from Greggs whilst we're in town
Tea - Spag bol - before dancing for DD, i'll warm mine up later

    Take care all

Oh Snowy Owl, you don't half know how to make me feel guilty :rotfl:

I am going to make a start today, bathroom, then tonight I can do one of Queenie's pamper me nights with no guilt :)

I haven't even been to the Flylady website, its enough with Moggins chasing me up and Quackers sneaking up behind me in the BB thread :p

Once Martin is finished on the Wright Show I'll make a start and then work this afternoon :)

    LOL! :rotfl:

This'll be my first time joining in one of these :j but I have a lot to do today so it'll help me stay motivated to do it if I actually tell people about it.

    1) Go into town to do shopping - done!
    2) Find passport photos dh has lost.
    3) Shine Sink (!!)
    4) Tidy the rest of the kitchen after brekkie
    5) Sort out washing and sitting room.

After that it could go two ways. If I find the photos then once dd wakes up from nap I'll be off out to get new applications then drive 120 miles to get them signed

If I can't find them then it's up to our bedroom for our first flylady blitz of the week. Couldn't do yesterday as I left the house just gone 6am, and didn't get home til just before 10pm.
Debts @ lightbulb moment (13/06/2006) - £59,842.23  All commercial debts now clear!!! :T Debts April - £20,000 to family (incl extra £10k borrowed for house deposit). DFD - Aug 2014
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    Goal of the month - £500 on groceries for family of 5 - Apr 2011 - £620! :( May - £454.85 so far.

    Good morning everybody!

Well, I'm back at the office today, so no more working from home and being able to hang washing out, empty DW, etc. whenever I like :naughty:

Didn't know that I'd have to come back to w**k today, so didn't make myself a packed lunch, which means I've got to go and buy something  . I did bring fruit and a packet of crisps with me, so I only need a sandwich but I really resent paying £2.49 for something I could put together for a lot less (or am I just tight???).

Tonight we're having a mini world cup party. There are only going to be 7 or 8 of us so am just cooking potato wedges (HM), pizza (not HM :o), pasta salad, salad and french bread. Hopefully everyone will find something they like.

VickyA - you must be looking for a house quite near to where I live. We bought ours as FTBs last September but only moved in a few months ago as we gutted it, knocked down walls, replasted it, etc etc and now it's just how we want it (well, almost...there's always something that needs doing!).

Moggins - the chocolate fountain sounds fab. I bet DD will love it!

Hope everyone has a fab day.

    Nic

    Morning all...

So far today I have done, well, nothing! And that is pretty much the plan for the day!! Well I need to put a washload on and nip to the PO but that's all...

Still living out of boxes whilst staying with a friend and it looks like it'll stay that way until at least the weekend as although the flat is now finished, we need flooring down in at least two rooms before we can move in!!

Went to have a nosy around it last night with the landlord and it is soooo beautiful!! The lounge is gorgeous, the french windows and Juliette balcony perfect, and my kitchen is huge* compared to a) what I'm used to and b) what you normally get in modern flats :D It even has those fancy drawers that you can't slam!! (I don't know how I feel about this as I have a feeling it's going to take the fun out of banging around in the kitchen when I'm mardy!!!:rotfl: ) I can't wait to move in now, but I'm guna have to!!!

Had a nice surprise last night when looking over my left-over grocery money - there's still almost £30 in the pot from £100 with less than a week til the end of the month so OH and I have decided to put it away and save for a holiday to New York next year when we're both 21! I reckon saving £20/£30 a month from groceries, plus we're not buying Xmas or 21st birthday presents for each other and instead saving the £100 each we'd usually spend, we'll have about £800 in the pot by November 07 (18months) (plus both sets of parents have said they'll contribute so I think we're going to be able to have a fantastic time!

Good luck to all with the Flylady Challenge

    Roz

  • As usual I am at work but have left Mr Rage a small list of things to do:-

Cut the grass in the front garden (I fully expect to find Bill Oddie in there...)
Go the the Bank and bank my avon money
Get veggies and fruit off the market
Put the washing on (I've loaded the washer for him)
Ring somebody up about a peice of equipment he needs

Not too long a list is it and is still leaves him some time to watch the football.....

Breakfast - bread and honey (yummm)
Lunch - roast beef abd cucumber sandwiches, fruit, some kettle crisps.
Dinner - the remains of last's nights chinese (I was TREATED!!!)

And then tonight I have letters to write and e-bay stuff to price. I am taking a day's holiday on Friday to get rid of all the typing I have to do as I am fed up of working all day and then having to type for another 3-4 hours at night and have decided that i need to take it easy if I am going to de-stress enough to kick-start my ovulation...

    Back to work!!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Hi all :wave:Queenie - Lets hope that Dilbert returns. I think he quite enjoyed the chattiness on here. He's also just been bought a laptop for his work, so we could now sit side by side on the sofa chatting to you all :rotfl: :Dnic - Oooooh, where do you live? Any tips of where to avoid?! :rolleyes:Rzl - Have a good time tonight. You're such a cultured lady! Unfortunately, living in the sticks means that I can't get to the theatre and listen to live music as often as I'd like. I found a concert that I wanted to go to in a local church, but of course it was all sold out by the time I found out about it! I know that I'd rarely be able to drag OH along to it, but hey...... some me time would be lovely (especially instead of the football).I got to school this morning and I was told that there was someone in to cover me for part of my NQT (newly qualified teacher) time. Well, it's nice to know............ I could have been warned! So, just before breaktime (I've just marked goodness knows how many maths books) I thought I'd pop on here to say hi.I hope that all the FLC are going well. I'd love to join you all, but at the moment I can't organise my brain, let alone my house!!! :DFor my lunch today I've got some yellow sticker pitta breads defrosting and I'm going to have them with hummous (sp?). This will last me 3 days of lunch and is really rather reasonable, in the long run. Ok, so I could have something more healthy, but I got 6 pittas for 10p! (and another pack in the freezer :D) It's far better than having to resort to school dinners (at £2 a go for staff ).We're viewing another house tonight. Probably not our ideal home, but we're going to look in this other town starting on Thursday.Supper, when we get back from viewing said house, will be chicken (yellow sticker) stir fry with plenty of veg (farmers' market) and noodles (Tesco  :D).Have a good day everyone.Vicky
Many apologies, it looks like my paragraphs aren't working again. Must be something to typing this at work!

    Well Folks
At work again today, but feeling very postive about doing some jobs tonight. Last night after i posted I went to the bedroom wrote a detailed list of stuff that needs doing. It may take me two weeks but i will get through it. After finishing the list i had 15 minutes before 10pm so I set my timer and worked against the clock. Did 4 draws in the dresser and the shelf in the top of my wardrobe so feeling very pleased with myself.

    Have a fly day everyone

Whoops posted on wrong thread but cant be bother to change it

    Afternoon,
Yesterday I did a bit of a clean (not FLC ) and tidy up.
At 11 am OH came home and put his motorbike away and strolled in.
Ofcourse I had to ask him why he hadn't gone to work (he never volunteers information) and he said he'd been knocked off his bike :(
Luckily he wasn't moving at the time and just has a stiff neck and shoulder but his bike is a bit messed up. It's still rideable and he's gone to work on it today.Wierd thing is he was going to go on his bicycle and changed his mind at the last minute yesterday and went on the motorbike else he might not have come home at all (protective clothing and big helmet versus shorts and t-shirt) .
I had to take all the fleece off my brassica bed as our cat was using it as a tent. I caught him in there the other day and he gave me a 'yes, can i help you?' sort of look.
Today I have done a quick clean and an hour and a half's weeding in the garden. Just got to get the Bread out of the machine and make lunch.
Might make a start on another swim suit this afternoon.
