Brill OS day so far!. Went into York, and the town centre Julian Graves is closing down. Everything half price. :j Bought 2 carriers of stuff hazelnuts for brownies, popcorn, sprouting seeds, mixed lentil/beans for soup from gammon stock in freezer. What a bargain! And I have space for it, since I did store cupboard challenge.
Big bottle of Stardrops (am no longer a stardrops vir9in). Value microfibre cloths from Tesco, 89p for 3. Can anyone tell me if these are good quality, as have never used them before.
Fresh fish from the market. Not cheap, but will make 2 meals, and all the accompaniments will be from our garden.
My only indulgence was a vanilla latte, but in true OS style, picked up 3 bags of "grounds for my garden" as recommended on this site.
In Tesco got footie rattles and hats free for children tonight, and red Engerland vest for me, with Rhinestones, half price. Will wear to Governors meeting tonight. That'll show em'.  Also got Porkinsons sausages Try me Free, and half price croissants to feed the freezer.
Rzl, didn't bump into PP. Was thinking that we need a badge and handshake, so that we can subtlely identify ourselves. :rotfl:
Got home to find message from Flylady telling me to get dressed today. Why didn't she tell me that earlierI only laced my shoes, as getting dressed wasn't on my FL list for today.
Off to do some FLC, before children home.

Saw the gp and my dad is going into a hospice on Friday morning - till then there will be an overnight nurse or carer, as he has had a couple of falls today and is very weak.
Made a nice salad for tea and just about to iron Dad's pyjamas before popping round to see him.
Pooky
iI am sorry to hear about your gran."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
PenPenguin, I've had no problems with the Tesco cloths they seem to do the job.
Elona I hope your dad going into the hospice gives you a little respite, you've had a rough time lately.
Pooky unless your parents specifically said they didn't want to attend the funeral I would hold it back, not being informed of her death so they could get on with their holiday is one thing but if my family didn't give me the chance to say goodbye at her funeral I would be devastated. It's one of those things that is final and they will never get the chance again.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hugs to elona and pooky. xx
Anyone any idea if the pollen count is high today? I'm suffering terribly and i don't know if it's me being a hypochondriac, or if i'm really ill.
Busy day at school. They have collapsed lots of teaching groups together as we have kids on trips all over europe this week. So i had to deal with a collapsed class that i don't normally teach, followed by my own class, followed by a cover lesson for another teacher who is away. I've also had to mess around putting data onto the computer for a y10 class. To say i'm meant to be on a reduced work load still, i feel pretty exhausted. I feel like a living zombie just existing from second to second. I've still got some stuff to do for tomorrow, and i need to do some of tea as i am assuming DH will want to watch the footie, and he deserves the rest. I hope i sleep better tonight.
I also got a snotty memo from my head of department, saying that even though we only have 4 weeks left, we need to keep working with pace, tidy up our classrooms and desks, and use our free time productively. I could swear. Surely as a professional, i can use my free lessons in whichever way i choose. Arrogant twit.
going to go and peel some veg to roast in the oven to have with gammon. DH might then feel up to just grilling the gammon so that will be tea sorted.
See you all tomorrow,
Michelle, xx0 -

Evening all
pooky and elona - (((hugs))) to you both.
Been a busy bee, FLYING around today - done my bedroom and en suite, bathroom/loo and also managed to do some washing (which was nearly dry but did the school run just as the heavens opened) as well as a quick tidy of the other rooms. BM has been on and we've had a scrummy shepherds pie for tea. DW has been on once today and I need to pack the tea things in it in a minute. In fact, I even surfaced earlier than usual to have a shower and hair wash before Mr TM got in there
Tonight I shall make in-roads into the mountain of ironing. I have some tv I want to watch so that will help. I need to bring all the charity bags down from the attic room so I can take them with me into town tomorrow. I only have the 3 ATM
Right, best re-make DS2's bed before it gets too late, I want them in bed early tonight (little horrors!).
Hope you all manage a good night. Oh, and B Rzl, I am very disappointed you won't be wanting to flylady my house.... does this mean I have to purchase wine????? (as if....)
Take care

Evenin' all
Not too long back from w***....shoulders are aching as I spend the day at a desk, then of course I can't wait to get onto MSE when I get home and end up sitting at another desk for hours on end. But not today of course! I've just had a cup of coffee and some food - this is to give me energy to tackle the next portion of the Flylady Challenge. I'm doing the main bedroom this evening - I don't think it's that bad, but then I could be wrong. I'll be evicting various items to their rightful rooms, and also relocating various items into the main bedroom, so lots of running around in store for me this evening.
Pooky, I'm sorry to hear about your gran. Regards your parents their attendance, or non attendance, of her funeral has to be their decision. If it's possible to delay the funeral until after their return then I think that'd be a good idea. If not, then I'd consider calling them anyway.
Elona - I'm sorry too to hear about your father. It must be so hard for you.
Quote from AussieLass:
Snowy - This is as good a day as any and start a new routine of giving the important bits a good swish around before I leave the room. Please explain:rotfl:
AussieLass - I am pleased to report that the important bits were lovely and fresh after their big swish this morning, and in fact are still lovely and fresh.
This isn't getting the bedroom cleaned...so see ya later!

Grrrrr - men!! (again)
I specifically got a joint Tesco credit card so we could collect the points which could then be swapped for 4x their value for stuff like days out etc. All was ok - given it took Mr TM about 6 weeks to change his pin to something he could remember, so he could use the card.
Just got his statement for his other card today - £610!! His excuse... he forgot to use the Tesco's card!! What IS the point. I ask you. It's not like he's hiding what he spends his money on - I always pay all the bills anyway. And the big purchase on there I told him to put it on his Tesco's CC cos I hadn't mine with me. Talk about short term memory problems!!
Arrrgggh - rant over.
(feel slightly better now, but will feel much better when the DS's are asleep - they are sooooo doing my head in today. Hmmmm - drink required...)
