AT FFM or anyone really!:)
Can you just give me a general run down on the books it is worth selling to Europe. Are they mid priced ones eg £5.00 up and is the postage worth the same? Just wondering if I should cast my net a little further but don't want to make too many losses if possible.
Thanks in advance.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Now I know why I'm not rich - firstly I send all my books out first class even though it's not essential, I only do it because I think it looks good in the description.
Secondly if there is even a hint of a refund being asked for I cough up without a whimper because I can't be *r*sed giving it more than 2 seconds thought.....as I've got older I realised that I don't have enough brain cells left to waste them on silly bu33ers* who want to mess me about, and If I've been done over then I hope that they enjoy it because I've moved on to the next thing and they're history, man (it's the old hippy in me coming out now).
Larmy - I don't even try to guess what will sell, you might be selling to an ex-pat or a European so it's pointless trying to work out who will buy what. The only key to whether I offer overseas or not is the weight - FFN summed it up nicely in one of his early posts, I can't explain the pros and cons of the weights any better than he did so I'll go and find it and put in a link.
here it is

Your and me both AT regarding the first class and the refund - thanks for your reply. I did not mean the types of books by the way, more the price they sell for - I think if I stick to lighter books for the time being til I get the hang of it.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I am absolutely gutted!
Just got a 1 out of 5 feedback stating the item was not in good condition - but was in terrible condition!
It was a GCSE workbook and I thought that it was "good"- it went for 25 pence and was sold on the 17 th of may!
No comments made to me and no refund requested - which I would gladly have done!
Today I find this feedback!
I was so upset I messed up the reply so now cannot reply.
This is now the first thing anyones sees!!
I have e mailed the buyer saying that I would gladly have refunded and apologised fot my mistake( if there was one)"This site is addictive!"

Hi amazonettes, i'm quite new to the amazon selling lark but have been doing ok for about 3 months. The thing is i sold a book the other day for about a tenner and i got the e-mail notification and started to wrap the item.
The following morning i recieved an e-mail from "the amazon message centre" where the buyer wanted to cancel the order. I know this sounds like a stupid question but is it just a case of refunding the money on the book? or is it more complicated than that?

Hi billycasper, welcome to the thread.
If you go to your transaction page and find this book, there is a refund button there, that's all you need to do, other than sulk of course, a tenner is a big one to lose0 -

Thanks for the help.
I have just e mailed Amazon stating that i think that the feedback was unfair and that I had made a mess of replying to it.
Lets hope that this helps."This site is addictive!"

Trouble is, I went to check the book against my listing and realised with utter horror that I had listed it under hardback when in fact it was softcover...eeek.
I immediately emailed the buyer and apologised profusely and offered her a full refund but she has been great and says she still wants it. Mind you it is the only copy anywhere.
My heart is still pounding now, I can't think how I made such a stupid mistake when listing.
Soo
I've made similar mistakes with two of my items, was searching for kids video's by title and then once found listed them straightaway without realising I'd listed them as DVD's!!
Your lucky you discovered it before dispatching as I posted both and although one buyer was ok with the video the other I have refunded and now have to deal with return postage charges, I think I got too excited when I saw the price of they were selling at, now I know why!!!0
