Even if it's faulty they have to send it back to you within 7 days of receipt, nothing you can do now is there?2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0

thanks - their email says:
"Thank you for your quick reply. Amazon also states:
If you receive an item different to what was described, or that is clearly
in worse condition than indicated, please contact your seller and tell them
what the problem is. You should be able to reach an amicable agreement with
one another. If necessary, you can return the item to the seller for a
refund. They will provide you with a return address.
There is no time limit on that paragraph. The item is faulty, not an
unwanted item.
It may be 2months since purchase. The item was for Fathers Day of a person
who does not live near me. So I assummed that as the condition said it was
new, I had no need to check the item!
Upon checking the item it is clearly faulty."See the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0 -
I have a question about feedback.
If I give a refund for and item, can the buyer still register feedback for the transaction?
Thanks

yes they can - i refunded someone who complained that a dvd was faulty (it came back to me without a fault on it - i dont seem to have much luck do i?)
and they still left me a big fat neg
(another reason im reluctant to refund this person as they are likely to neg me anyway)See the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0 -
From the link above try quoting this to them:-
"Returns
If you receive an item different to what was described, or that is clearly in worse condition than indicated, please contact your seller and tell them what the problem is. You should be able to reach an amicable agreement with one another. If necessary, you can return the item to the seller for a refund. They will provide you with a return address.
To be eligible for a refund, you must return your item to your seller in the same condition you received it, and the return must be postmarked within one week of receipt. Postage charges for returning the item are borne by you. Find out more below on how your refund will be handled.
Note: items purchased from Amazon.co.uk Marketplace sellers need to be returned directly to the seller and not to Amazon.co.uk. "
You could copy the link too if you wish, tell them the item was new when it was sent & sorry but there is nothing else you can do.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -
righto have had a stonking idea :rotfl:
rang amazon who were particularly unhelpful - they agreed that it was a bit suspsicious but that in the interests of not getting a neg then maybe i should refund
Ive been reading trading standards - i as the seller have the right to offer a replacement
so am going to email the buyer and say righto according to trading standards:
Private sales
When you buy goods from a private individual, you don't have the same rights as when buying from a trader. The legal principle of caveat emptor, or 'buyer beware', operates. You have no rights to expect that goods be of satisfactory quality or fit for their purpose, but there is a requirement that they should be 'as described'. You should check goods thoroughly before you buy them.
but i will offer to get another copy sent to them (which will save me £2 in refunds - and i will know if they reject that offer, they are truely being dodgy)
what do you guys think?See the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0 -
