Coming to the end of my 6 months free. Anyone know when I will be able to be cheeky & ask for another deal?0

At the end of your contract.0 -
Hi, my contract period with o2 ends November but last May i switched mobile phone contracts to T Mobile. As a result, i was offered £5 off my monthly bill due to the length of time I have been with o2 (atleast 5 years now). I don't want to leave because I have the old unlimited standard package, so I wondered what I could expect from retentions seeing as I am no longer a mobile customer but been with them so long?I have enough money to last me the rest of my life... unless I buy something.0

Just phone retentions - you should be able to get 6 months free just like the people above in the thread. I am also a long-standing customer with O2, but I have never been a mobile customer. I recently phoned them asking for a MAC code and was offered 6 months free on my existing deal.
Note that if the first service representative you speak with doesn't offer you anything it's worth trying again with another -- that is what I did and it worked! :j0 -

So what are you paying outside of the 6 months free?0 -

Yes I have the legacy standard package at £9.50pm which includes my £5pm discount. I also got 6 months free from January this year.
I assume you are on one of the higher speed packages then?
I'll need to see what happens in January as I'm currently using my son's O2 mobile for the discount and he might move from O2. Unfortunately running out of O2 friends to use!0 -
Got offered the 3 months free but as I'm on access and the speeds are been dreadful over past couple of months think i'll go to a proper ISP instead0
