i renewed my contract in january 2013.
rang up today and asked what they could offer me.
was offered 12 months free broadband.
also pushed for £100 M&S vouchers.0 -
anyone got the £200 credit or £100 M&S vouchers where the linked O2 mobile isn't in their name?
i was told i couldn't have either because phone is in my partners name
i did get the 12 months free even though my contract didn't finish until september.
it was quite funny because my opening line was my concern about the sky take over. i was asked what my concerns were and that they would likely be the same after the switch.....so i cut to the chase and said about the free 12 month offer. the women laughed and said you knew exactly what you wanted didn't you!:rotfl:

BT lost my Infinity order despite sending me an Email confirmation, so I will not get the cashback and voucher if I move now, although still got the mac code. BT kept on diverting me to some incomprehensible help line after waiting for ages.
O2 are little better, they incorrectly limited me to 0.25mps for a week due to a mix up:"
"You must be over your limit, streaming you can't have that!" "no I'm not over the limit I said" "But we anticipated you might go over", I've used less than a quarter and never go anywhere near!"
Thankfully it was eventually fixed, although this was probably automatic rather than any action on their part . Surprisingly my O2 speeds have increased to 2.5mbs which is higher than it used to be before the mix up!
I'm wondering whether to phone up retentions to see if they will offer me anything.
A test of who can be least incompetent?0 -
Dd you confirm with them that you are now an LLU customer? I suspect that there is no incentive for them to retain Access customers prior to the takeover, as Sky will only want the LLU customers. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

No, I didn't; not sure I follow. I phoned O2 up a few months ago and asked if they may be providing fibreoptic in my area in the near future (they have been promising for years), but instead of answering my question their response was 'Sky are taking over', so I assumed they weren't interested.
Sure enough though when I asked for a mac code a few weeks ago they tried to entice me with some sort of a deal, but since they were seriously messing me around on 0.25mb I interrupted her and said what's the point at that speed? She had to agree.
Wouldn't care but I live in East Berks not the Outer Hebrides!0 -
Has anyone been offered the £200 phone credit or £100 m+s voucher today?
I was only offered the 12 months free broadband when I called a while ago. Which of course I took as it is still a good deal!0 -
Just taken the 12 month deal plus £100 M/S vouchers today.0

When did 02 offer FTTC 'years ago'? It's only been available as a BT Wholesale product for about 2 years.
My point was that if the CS rep you spoke to thought you were still an 02 Access customer, then they probably wouldn't have any incentive to offer you the 12m freebie.
Edit: so what's changed today to make them offer it now?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
does the deal (12m free + £200 mobile credit) include phone line rental?
I'm moving flats in a couple weeks and also want to upgrade my mobile deal, I suppose that would be a separate phone call, or should I try to haggle for a good mobile upgrade deal on the same call?0 -
