Accident in store

I recently had an accident in a supermarket. This was 100% the stores fault. A visit to A&E showed that I have suffered a minor injury. An accident report form was completed instore at the time, so far I have heard nothing from the company.
What should I do next? Any advice?

Has the minor injury put you out of pocket in any way?
I would write to the supermarket, point out what happened, and ask them to put right whatever it was that caused the accident.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
more details please? what type of injury? have they admitted liability? (in writing) Did they advise you at the time you woudl receive compensation?0

Another one of these "OH A MINOR INJURY TIME FOR COMPENSATION!!!!!!11!!!11!!!!!"0

Did I mention compensation?
Some sort of apology would have been nice. A large item of the shop fitting had been left where it shouldn't and fell over injuring me. A customer and a sales assistant witnessed what happened. I'm miffed that no one has bothered to see how I am or to apologise.0 -

What do you want to do next.
If you want an apology then write to them again explaining and then tell them yu expected an apology and youre still waiting.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Perhaps don't even ask for an apology but an explanation / investigation. I take it you just want to see that what happened to you is being taken seriously?0

It annoys me that people waste casulty and ambulance time with this sort of thing, when properly injured people may be left waiting.
Please define "properly injured"0 -
I would also like the OP to tell us further details of the injury? is anything broken? skin cut? bruising?
Well they do say on the telly "Where there's blame there's a claim!" maybe you should ring one of those law firms that advertise on a weekday afternoon when Deal or no deal and Ricky Lake is on?
Ok, I am being slightly sarcastic (If you haven't guessed)
Whatever you want to achieve from this will only begin if you start the ball rolling with a letter to head office.
you give your side of teh story, your witness give there's blah blah and then eventually you will get your apology and perhaps a £10 voucher.
Or were you expecting £500,000? <laugh>0 -
OP I don't think you could expect to hear anything more from the company unless you contact them again. They have made an accident report which is what they should do. I assume you would like some sort of compensation whether it be a bunch of flowers, a voucher or some financial compensation but they don't know what you want either and if they send you an apology letter or something similar this may be construed as accepting liability and therefore could go against them in a compensation claim. If you do write for some sort of financial compensation don't expect an apology, just expect a letter directing you to their insurance company!0
