to the OP. i think you have every right in expecting some sort of letter or phone call. i cant believe people in this forum would try to be little you the way they have. not once have you mentioned you wish to persue this as a claim, everyone has assumed you want to. i wonder if it was their own mothers or aunts that the mirror had fallen onto if they would be taking the same attitude? or would they see the right to compensation in a different light? either way, lets leave compensation out of this. the OP has made it very clear she wishes not to put a claim for compensation in.

my advice to you is to find a contact number for the supermarkets customer services. explain what happened and that you were appalled at the fact you've been ignored. also explain to them that you are in no way shape, or form sueing them, you just want a follow up to make sure that the events didnt happen again to a child or possibly some frail old lady. supermarkets should be a safe place to visit. i wish you well and a speedy recovery.

What does the OP do next? How about moving on and getting on with their life?

Well I can perishing well believe it!!! What I don't understand is why I am still surprised when people are frequently so unpleasant and rude when somebody is just looking for advice or perhaps wanting a bit of sympathy. It happens over a number of boards and it amazes me than anyone still bothers asking for help when they usually get a load of unpleasantness in return. All this patronising sneering is unnecessary.

i like to think that even though there are people that only sign up to these sites to bully people looking for help, that there will be a few good answers from genuine people. i know now from the OP's post that if i ever come here looking for help, i should expect comments and remarks from some people who have nothing better to do.

As in actually injured, rather than pretending in the hope of some compo.

Well since the OP is not pretending to be injured I am not sure what the point of your original post is or was

So no-one should ever go to A&E because of a bruise then - no matter what the cause?
And the OP did say that a minor injury was reported, so they were injured. so the point of your post was what exactly?
