Nope, my CC file is fine, too many searches on Experian though.
Do they do a search on Equifax or CC if you apply?
Hiya - thats what I thought, your CC is fine. My understanding is they do the initial thing through CC and then full search through Equifax. they wouldn't search Experian cos they are not affiliated.
Hmmm, something is strange - we really need this clearing up but i'm due my reports next week so will be able to confirm more then, unless someone subscribes to CC and Equifax online?2010 - year of the troll

A family member who shall remain nameless got the same message when he applied for the Initial cc. They rung his work to ask him a few more questions and got accepted. His workplace being me, I hired him for all of 8 weeks! His credit history is appalling, more credit cards in debt than you can shake a stick at. My mind boggles.
LOL, that is a sketchy post - so your fella said he worked for you and they rung you at home? Care to elaborate - lol. I gave my work number, if they ring me at work they will get told 'sorry, unless you confirm who you are we will not divulge the employee to you' cos I work in secure post! LOL

Firstly the advisor said it had been approved and they just needed further documentation, then she said it was pending awaiting final checks upon receipt of the further documentation. So bascially it's a nice NO lol.
Said they'd be in contact by post in the next 3-5 workings days.
Ahhh so if approved, then that means yes doesn't it? Or do you think that approval was a refer and not an approval after all?2010 - year of the troll

Well at first she said it'd been approved but they just needed more info. Then she went on to say the application was pending, so who knows.

Hiya
So to me that would suggest you've been successful or she'd have told you that it was a no-go. I'd assume they want to see a payslip or maybe passport etc - are you on electoral register?2010 - year of the troll

Well he is sketchy type of fella lol! I hired him for 8 weeks to do some admin for me, in that time he put me down as his employer and applied for the cc. I work from home so he gave them my then business number as his work contact details which was true I guess, They actually rang him three times, he was so worried it took that many calls for him to pluck up the courage to talk to them.
He's had that card for ages, I even had to pay off the balance once, they in turn put up his credit limit by 100% even though he's defaulted on numerous occasions on several cards I won't be bailing him out again, the joker!0 -
They told me to naff off which is what I expected.0

Nice idea. Would be good if others did it. For anyone complaining they didn't get accepted, you did read the bit in the terms and conditions where it says:
This does not constitute an offer of credit and you may be declined once a full assessment of your application has been completed.
Turns out I've got a "70% to 80%" chance of another 12 months at 0% with a 2.5% fee - but I'll be waiting a few months till some recent searches have aged before applying."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
