What I hear on here is very worrying!
Back in August 2006 when I took out my contract, it just seemed like another good cashback deal, but now its starting to sound like the cashback deal from hell!!!
I sent my first batch of bills (1 to 6) on the 22nd of Jan 2007 and I tracked it and it was received on the 27th of Jan, but I have yet to hear anything from MR , I've tried contacting them on the phone but seems like the office is empty and no one picks up... is this a downhill path that will cost me £300+ at the end? I'm only a poor student, I can't handle that much damage to my budget
So what do you MSE peeps advise me to do at this stage? Legal action? How?0 -
This is my first Mobile Rainbow contract and I've not yet reached the first cashback pointkeep trying to call them on their freephone number (0800 097 3651) to get confirmation that they've received your claims
how long does it state on your T&Cs that you must wait for your cashback? if that time period has been exceeded, I suggest emailing them with a stern warning and threaten legal action and hope that they pay up.
when the above fails, it probably means time to take legal action via the moneyclaim website. refer to http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=147035 for examples of people who've filed successful claims against them0 -
I had to issue legal proceedings to receive some/all of my cashbackI am having a lot of problems with MSols Ltd ( Mobile Rainbow ).
I requested Cash Back refund over 2 months ago but still waiting for it.
They ignored my telephone calls, e-mails and I had to send them 'recorded delivery' letters. They change their Cash back offer Terms & Conditions very often, it's contradictory and incomplete - all this done to deceive customers.
They are SCAM.
I phoned Trading Standards People and they registered my details.
I advise anybody who has or had problems with MSols ( Mobile Rainbow ) to call 01923 471300 and report it.
If I don’t hear from them this week then will be taking them to court0 -
12.4 All the cash backs are funded by the commission that we receive from the network on your account. In case network reduces the commission for the tariff plan chosen by you, we have full right to alter the cash back scheme. This will happen only if the change in commission takes place before we connect your handset to the network. In case the change in commission takes place after we have connected your handset to the network it will have no impact on the cash back scheme applicable for the order placed by you.
12.5 All the cash back claims must reach us latest by the 15th day (90th day in case of Three network) of the month consecutive to the due month printed on the cash back voucher, through registered post. We will not be liable for any claims lost or misplaced.
It says in other words if they dont want to give cash back they dont have to...Barry Deepson.0 -
Well after contacting and speaking with customer services they told me they had tried contacting me to confirm payment details or something and then the lady said they'll be sending me the cashback within a week or two ... but I received it in 3 weeks time which was ok with me, by that point anything was better than nothing.
So its not been fun but I'm relieved that this didn't turn into a nightmare. Hopefully I won't have too much trouble with my next cashbacks either.0 -
I've received all cashbacks due with some (non-legal) pressure appliedMy mum had two t-mobile contracts with them.
For one of them she didnt receieve her Nov 2006 bill from t-mobile.
Nov was the 7th bill of her contract.
Rang T-mobile many times during november, december and january asking for the bill/reprint.
Got charged for 4 reprints but didnt recieve them.
They all arrived 2 days after the 14 day period in which to send cashback claims...so we lost the 2 cashbacks.
This includes two three reprints on T-mobiles systems to have been ordered in january.
Coincidence???...or is something else going on?
Has anyone else experienced something similar?0 -
I had to issue legal proceedings to receive some/all of my cashbackHi All - I posted by first CB voucher in Jan. I contacted mobile rainbow in March and they said I'd be paid within 28 days. I've contacted them again today (May 3rd) and they said they've had account problems and I should wait another 28 days.
Don't know what to do really, as I've not had a problem with other companies in the past. I posted my second voucher in April, doubt that will get paid either.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to reclaim my money???

I had to threaten to take MR to court for the first two cashbacks but they were eventually paid.
The last cashback was different - after nearly two months of no contact I finally managed to get an agent of theirs on the phone who told me that my claim was being rejected as the first page from one of the bills was missing !
Fo some unknown reason, about 3 months ago I started photographing all paperwork that we send out registered or Special Delivery - I lay them out on the floor with the envelope and photograph everything in close up and several times - I know that this does not prove that what is photographed actually gets put into the envelope but I figure a Judge has got to take it into account if you can prove you always do it.
This IS a true story
Anyhow, I tell the girl on the phone that what she says is impossible as I have photographs of the bunches of invoices all stapled together - she says she has to speak to someone else and for me to hold - next I get a guy on the phone who says he is holding my invoices and that there is definately a top page missing - I tell him I have photographs and that, by the way, I hope he has not tampered with the staples as we are solicitors and we use 'security' staples - he then sounds worried (maybe my imagination) but asks what security staples are - I say they are special staples that all have minute marks on the to show they come from a particular source. He asks for me to print out the photos I have and to send them registered to MR - At this posint I tell hime that I will email a single picture but I will not enter into any further conversation about the claim - I tell him he has until 4pm to call me back and confirm that the payment will be in my account by the following Monday (this is a Friday) - he starts to blather but I put the phone down on him and emailed a small picture.
At 3.55pm I get a phone call to tell me that they made a mistake and that they will process a payment within the next two weeks - I tell him that unless the money is actually in my account my Monday I will proceed to court and put the phone down again - I am begginging to feel that I am in a good position having got lucky with the pictures. At 4.30 I get a call from another man saying that it is impossible to arrange payment before 2 weeks and I tell him that when we meet in court, the judge is going to find the story about the missing page very interesting and that it is an occasion I am looking forward to - I put the phone down again. Five minutes later I get a call to say that they will put a cheque in the post - I say no, I want it paid in by Monday - he says that won't work because of the weekend and I finally agree to Tuesday morning which IS when it actually shows as being credited.
I got 5 emails over the next 30 minuted saying how sorry they were that a mistake had been made and that the invoice they were examining had got mixed up with someone else's, etc etc etc. 5 very apologetic emails - I felt good and I got the money, but I wont be using them again.
I have however learned that my photo's are a good measure - I think they would look good in court and that I will continue to purchase my special 'security' staples :-)
Hope this helps someone.
Good Luck0
